    Little Rascals Day Nurseries

“I'm forever grateful for the nursery's development of my son. He absolutely thrived over the three years he spent here and always loved his time there, even if there were tears at drop-off. The staff are excellent at talking through the children's day at pick-up and take the time to make sure you leave fully contented. I recommend Little Rascals to everyone I know with young children, as I know they will be taught and respected by the professionals within.”

“I have recently attended several little glow sessions with Angela and look forward to attending more ☺️ I have been to different locations on different days and they have all been set out differently, with lots of thought and effort. The groups are a nice size, allowing you to move freely around each of the glow areas and meet new people. I have most recently attended a valentines glow special which took place on a Saturday giving opportunity for family memebers to come along too ☺️ Angela had organised a photographer for photos of our babies to be taken, there were lots of photo opportunities and keepsakes which Angela was ensuring all parents had. Angela is very friendly and calm making you feel very welcome and at ease throughout all sessions and is keen to engage with parents and children throughout the sessions ☺️”

“My son has been going here for nine months now and I feel really happy with the care he is given whilst at nursery. They keep me informed on what he’s been doing that day along with eating, sleeping and changes. The staff are always lovely and feedback in person on collection. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nursery. Having multiple rooms/areas of play is a big bonus.”

    ★★★★★ 5
    Open

“My son has been going to Daisy Chain since he was a toddler and loves it here, the staff are wonderful and take a interest in each and every child. There are always activities throughout the year for parents to socialise and get to know each other, the summer BBQ and Sports Day are really good fun and they are all courtesy of the nursery. I never worry about my son when he is at Daisy Chain and I think that is the most important thing. I would thoroughly recommend it.”

    Half Pints

    ★★★★★ 5

“Amazing. We have been blown away by Half Pints. The staff were brilliant and demonstrate a great interest in child development. Half Pints puts vocation and care before business. Half Pints child provision and education is second to none. They really do care and invest a huge effort in each child as an individual. They really do get to know and understand their children as if the children are their own. Each day ends with parental a mini debrief in what your child has been up to and its all evidenced with a password protected pictorial website. Sadly our time with them has come to an end. And what an end! A graduation day with all the bells and whistles. Held conveniently on a Saturday - and i am sure this is purely voluntary as there cannot be any funding available - an entirely free half day of certificate presentation, bouncy castle, lunch (for adults too!) cake (made by talented staff), a choreographed dance routine on a makeshift stage and more! All held under a gazebo in their garden, accompained by generous amount of fizz. Greeted by a red carpet, parents sat under gazebo awaiting the show, munching popcorn - served by the children - and sipping proseco - served by a volunteer. Each child was introduced with a wonderfuly written speech, individually tailored to reflect that childs personality and acheivements at Half Pints, and an educated guess at each child's future aspirations - only adults that have really got to know the children could have done this so well. Some tears were shed, but that was okay as tissues, presented in hand crafted superhero figures, were issued very sweetly, by the children, prior to the presentation. The event was superhero themed - as chosen by the children - and wonderfully decorated by the children and staff. Then lunch were the children sat with each other, waited on by staff while the adults were treated to nibbles and a poster presentations that captured the personality and activities of each child during their time at Half Pints. After Lunch and pudding came a very special cake that was so professional they mustve paid a forture to some cake shop - nope; home-made by one of the tlaented staff members. If all that wasnt enough (and I stress there cannot be any funding for any of this so it must be all paid for by them and voluntary) the children were waived off with tears of staff that care and a goodie bag reminder. The amount of effort put into this was more than incredible, and is a reflection of how much the staff of Half Pints really love the children in their charge. A day of razzle dazzle! And Im sure its something that each of those children will be able to look back on with great fondness. They have been given the best foundation possible, enabling them all to start big school with confidence, and i submit, more than an edge over new school mates who were not so fortunte to attend Half Pints. Big school has a lot to live up to! We will miss them, and hold just a little pang of jealousy for their lucky new arrivals. Thankyou :)”

“My son attended The Dolls House from the age of 10 months, when I returned to work from maternity...When your emotions run wild and anxiety is at its highest! Jane was fantastic in managing the baby room and looked after my boy so well. Have him lots of cuddles which is what they need! Over a year later, he still talks about being in the baby room with her! She is very attentive which I also really appreciated. Very organised and supportive nursery. Chris helped so much with the initial food intolerances my son had and was ever ready to experiment with different meals and foods which I loved. He eventually grew out of these but it was the reassurance which is exactly what you need, especially as a new mum. Would always recommend!!”

“Dined here for the first time a week or so back and was so pleasantly surprised that we booked a table for the family for fathers day. Today was a fantastic experience. We were seated very quickly and served drinks straight away. Sophie and the other ladies made sure we had everything we needed. They were all very friendly and pleasant to deal with. Food, once again was incredible so hats off to the chef. A gem of a place for many reasons. Will definitely return.”

“Excellent for children. Price is very good at £4 and 1 adult free (off- peak rates), additional adults is £1.50 each, there is a 2 hour limit, but we were their over 3 hours... No one said anything! Lots to do for all ages of kids. Climbing wall was closed when we went. Free parking is available and it was not full during term time. Make sure you put your car reg details in the screen when you enter the fun valley or you will possibly be fined. Cafe is nice, cheap and cheerful. Kids will like chips and some fruit shoot or slush! They will eat only half and run off to play again! All in all a very decent place for kids to run, jump and slide around.”

“The exceptional care, passion and love they have for the children in helping them to grow and become independent is absolutely fantastic. The care and attention my child has received at this preschool, has been above and beyond in every way. All staff are so friendly and the kids love them- that itself says for itself. The support and flexibility I have received as a parent, I am so grateful for as I know I would not get this anywhere. This preschool is best decision we made for our child.”

“My youngest son - now three, attended this nursery for a while at 8 weeks old and has attended again now for the past year and a half. The staff are amazing and work with you with any concerns you have about child or anything you and don't want doing and actually listen to you when you talk to them. The rooms are always cleaned thoroughly - having seen them being cleaned and the carpets quite often. The staff are extremely friendly and take great care of your children and actually take an interest in them. My son has formed a lovely bond with a few of the ladies here and is really coming out of himself. The have assisted greatly with potty training and weaning off of nap times too and again as I said worked with me on this. The outside play area may not be huge but I do think allowances have to be made for this with it being a city centre location at a very affordable price I think any specific outdoor play area is a plus! Either way my son loves his outdoor time there with all the toys etc they have. As a rule my son is a pest to eat but every meal that they cook for him here he eats all up and tells me about it on the way home so it's a thumbs up for the food from Jetson. My son will be attending here still with his 30 hours free childcare instead of a mainstream school from September as I personally think they're doing a great job. Massive thanks to Jim, Susan, Julie and all the girls in the Owl Room! From Charlie and Jetson :)”

“Family run business that offers a family feel for the children. When I went to look round I felt staff were very down to earth, with a parent to parent understanding, whilst upholding the necessary standards for quality childcare. I also loved that they make it a priority to take the kids out for fresh air, walks and to explore the area, that sold it for me. 8 months in and my son has settled and gets the most out of his days at nursery. There's so many extra events throughout the year that the nursery run, to include parents, carers and grandparents which makes for a real inclusive nursery community. Definitely the right choice for us.”
