“I’ve been going to Kuku since they were in their first West Kirby location about 10 years ago. I have never once had anything less than a perfect experience with them. They’re so accommodating, willing to try and fit you in when you need an appointment (even when it’s super busy they do their best) and the services are ALWAYS a 10/10. I regularly get my nails, lashes and brows done and have been to every single Kuku staff member for my treatments and they’re all absolutely outstanding at what they do. I know that other clients will have nothing bad to say as it’s absolutely impossible to come out of the salon feeling anything other than your absolute best, even if you just went in to book an appointment and didn’t get a service done! Loveliest bunch around with such a high skill set and an absolute passion for putting smiles on peoples faces. Always above and beyond”

“Came here on a Friday night with my wife and two small kids. Saw the 4.9 stars it received. In a nutshell, it deserves the good ratings it gets! Stepping into Matt and Ann’s restaurant is like being greeted into their own personal home. You can feel the warmth and earnestness in Matt the moment ushers you to your table. Food prepared by Ann is as authentic. She retains her hometown’s take on Tom Yam. Coming from Singapore, we could tell her dishes are different from the usual ones we get back home or in Bangkok. We absolutely loved her Tom Yam Mixed and Pad Thai. A halal kitchen is maintained in the establishment. Rak Thai is a family-runned unit. Just by observing the stream of phone call orders coming in to collect their food, the banter they exchange with Matt and Ann (even while she’s cooking), you can tell that Rak Thai is a gem in the Blackburn community. Matt and Ann truly try their best to accommodate anybody who walks through their doors. We drove all the way from Preston to try Ann’s cooking. We didn’t regret it. We had the best Asian food at Rak Thai during our trip to Lancashire. Most importantly we met the best hosts possible. We will definitely visit them again!”

“I highly recommend Olive and Grape, a welcome new addition to the Rose Lane eatery scene. The menu is really interesting and varied making choosing what to order difficult (only because I wanted everything on the menu). The food was fresh, flavourful and looked picture perfect. Everything i and my partner ordered was great so there was no food envy. There's a great selection of wines by the glass. The service was also attentive and friendly. I hope Olive and Grape continue to do well and I certainly will be patronising as often as my finances allow.”
