“Came back here as I remember really liking the place as a child and was still amazed with how good the restaurant still is. Me and my partner came into the restaurant at 19:30 on a Friday and greeted by the staff which were super friendly. The restaurant was very quiet as well which was very nice to see so we had no problem being seen when we needed to by the staff. Great selection on the menu and we chose the Seafood platter which we both really liked the look of as well as some extra garlic bread. We both really enjoyed the food. Although we would suggest avoiding the garlic bread as it was £4.70 and we only got two small pieces which we didn’t think was too great. Although we thought the seafood platter was really good for the price. We both really enjoyed all the food and would definitely come again.”

“We had our sons christening reception here, the room was big and is laid out perfect for these types of parties. They had an outdoor play area that’s perfect to keep the kids entertained! The staff are so lovely and helpful they even put out jugs of juice for the little ones. The hire was so affordable and the drinks are cheap too! Highly recommend and will 100% be booking here again for our next party! Thank you to all at the waggon!”

“We got a booking for the cabinet club and what a experience it was it felt like a different world inside away from the noise and crowds of people, it was the best thing we did in chester and that's for sure we tried 3 different cocktails each and they was all quality and good prices staff was really friendly and helpful they Sit with you and explain the drinks overall a great time”

“My wife took some family here for dinner on Friday. The service was excellent - all the team could not have been more helpful and attentive. The quality of the food was excellent, the portions very generous and tasty and, importantly, served piping hot. Definitely cooked to order. A couple of things missing from the menu - probably because of a local food market taking place - but substitutes were available. All in all, ten of ten. Just a shame we are in Kent or we'd be regulars!”

This place far exceeded expectation, the burger we had is one of if not the best I've had and my 11 year old grandson told the waitress he would give the restaurant a 5 star rating. “Went in for dinner after wet day at the zoo. Pub was nice and warm when walked in and straight away the smell of the food in carvery smelt fantastic. Bar staff were welcoming young lady that served me I think was called Lindsey. We all ordered a soft drink and carvery each( 3 adults 2 children) chefs working on carvery one was Kenny didn't catch the other lads name but both were very pleasant. Young lady called Ellie brought are deserts who was also very attentive and smilie.”
