“Would have give 10 if I could, was actually working in the surgery, when I had a tightness in my chest, thought it might have been heartburn or indigestion so I asked the doctor for advice, he examined me and advised I go to a and e straight away, the best advice I have ever been given. After been triaged and assessed I had a heart rate of 160 beats per minute, I am still in hospital. All because of the doctors advice he has possibly saved my life.”

When I first joined the practice after moving from another practice I was quickly diagnosed with an underactive thyroid which had been undiagnosed for 5 years at my previous practice. “Recently attended A and E as a patient. Very impressed with the new location and set up. Very organised with several waiting areas, vast improvement from previous A and E. Well organised and efficient, all staff i came into contact with were professional and polite. Waiting time was acceptable, one should accept that this a busy A and E dealing with hundreds of walk in patients . Patience is the watch word . To me the wait is more than acceptable when considering the high work load . I was admitted as an in patient firstly to Majors ward and then to ward 32 . Throughout my stay i was impressed by the professional and polite attitude by all members of staff i came into contact with and the high standards of care. I found the ward very clean and well maintained a credit to all. A vast improvement from the last time i had cause to visit the hospital as a patient several years ago Peter veevers”

“I highly recommend this surgery. We moved here a number of years ago as our previous surgery was horrific and also lost our medical records. We moved here although it’s a little bit further to travel. I ring up at 0800hrs and always manage to get an appointment for the same day. I get referred immediately for any complaints or bloods required. Recently my 7 year old daughter was sent home from school for a UTI. I rang around midday and she was seen at 330pm the same day. For my pre arranged appointments you never wait for more than five minutes. The staff and doctors all have good bed side manner. Really satisfied by the performance of this practice. By far the best in the area as I have tried other surgeries in the past, so have something to compare them to.”

“When I read some of the negative reviews regarding Gladstone Medical centre I cannot resonate with them. I have been with Gladstone for more years than I can remember and never had a bad experience. Being in my dotage has not deterred any member of staff or doctors treating me but with the utmost courtesy . The receptionists are all delightful and always greet you with a smile and ‘Can I help you’ ? The nurses are always there for advice along with any medical appointments. I have always found the doctors to be kind and sympathetic to my various medical conditions at any one time and although in my advancing years I have never been made to be a nuisance.”
