We did all the old classic games and as we were all footy fans the instructor allowed the last 10mins of our session to have a quick game of football. The activity was great fun and a real laugh. “We recently stayed at INNSiDE by Meliá Liverpool and visited the 360 Sky Bar during our visit. There had been a slight mix-up with our room – nothing to do with the Sky Bar – but we ended up speaking with the Sky Bar Manager, Hayley who had warmly greeted us on our arrival. She truly went above and beyond for us. We had been given some drinks tokens as a goodwill gesture, and we asked if we could have something other than Prosecco, as we were hoping for soft drinks instead. When I explained to Hayley why we’d been given the tokens – even though the issue had nothing to do with her or her team – she took the time to really listen and understand what had happened. Hayley then went out of her way to speak with the hotel management to see what could be done to make our stay special. Again, this wasn’t something she needed to do – it wasn’t her department – but she genuinely cared and wanted to help in any way she could. She made our daughter’s 21st birthday incredibly special and memorable – she absolutely spoiled her and made her feel like a VIP. We went on to have some cocktails which were delicious and the desserts here are so good too! Views from here are stunning, especially at sunset. Hayley is an absolute credit to the Sky Bar and the hotel. Her hospitality skills are exceptional, and her team is clearly a reflection of her brilliant leadership. We felt truly looked after, and she turned a frustrating situation into a really positive experience. Thank you, Hayley – you made all the difference!”

“Came here on a Friday night with my wife and two small kids. Saw the 4.9 stars it received. In a nutshell, it deserves the good ratings it gets! Stepping into Matt and Ann’s restaurant is like being greeted into their own personal home. You can feel the warmth and earnestness in Matt the moment ushers you to your table. Food prepared by Ann is as authentic. She retains her hometown’s take on Tom Yam. Coming from Singapore, we could tell her dishes are different from the usual ones we get back home or in Bangkok. We absolutely loved her Tom Yam Mixed and Pad Thai. A halal kitchen is maintained in the establishment. Rak Thai is a family-runned unit. Just by observing the stream of phone call orders coming in to collect their food, the banter they exchange with Matt and Ann (even while she’s cooking), you can tell that Rak Thai is a gem in the Blackburn community. Matt and Ann truly try their best to accommodate anybody who walks through their doors. We drove all the way from Preston to try Ann’s cooking. We didn’t regret it. We had the best Asian food at Rak Thai during our trip to Lancashire. Most importantly we met the best hosts possible. We will definitely visit them again!”
