“An amazing cafe in the centre of Liverpool! Although their Menu doesn't have much on it, if you want an all day breakfast this is the place to go! They have a veggie option as well, but the full English was very tasty, and the sausages were much better than other places I've tried! Very good atmosphere as well with friendly staff, and don't be put off by the pink theme! Got chocolate was also great, although a little expensive at £4.10”

“I popped in here a few months ago and tried a few things I had seen advertised on their FB pages, and went again yesterday to get more. While I plan on trying their fill-your-own liquid handsoaps next, this time I bought a larger bar of handmade body soap which I quite liked, and tried a small pot of their calendula face cream. They lent me the pot to bring back when it's finished. This way of doing business is getting into my consciousness now and I find myself keeping small jars and pots for when I return. I think my Mum would like this face cream, too. I really wish this shop well, and I also like the decor inside. A fun place for a good browse.”

“I purchased this lovely Georgian desk from Yola Gray Antiques this past November. Upon arrival I noticed some splitting in the fell (that’s the lid if you’re a Yank) Since the piece is well over 200 years old, I chalked it up to age. But within just a couple weeks the fell started to break apart in spectacular fashion. And this is where my review goes from good to great. Because as soon as Julian Latham received the photos of the damage he was on the phone to me immediately. After a most genuine apology, he cracked his knuckles and figured out how to handle the repair with minimal disruption to me. He walked me through packaging and returning the fell arranging to pay the US shippers directly so that I was not in the middle of the transaction. He was in constant contact regarding the status of the repairs and supplying photos. He could not have been more kind or attentive throughout the entire process. I received the repaired fell late last week and reattached it about 10 minutes ago. It is beautiful and I’m incredibly pleased. What a high integrity antique dealer. It would have been very easy to ignore a customer based in the US after the sale was made. But they stood up and made it right and with considerable expense on their end. I’m super impressed. I recommend Julian and Yola Gray Antiques without reservation.”

All caje with fittings and advice given on how to install. Fantastic friendly service, beautiful work we are so pleased. Also we made incorrect payment and the proprietor contacted us and refunded overpayment instantly. Very honest, will definitely recommend. Will post pictures when installed.”

“I went in on a whim, only fuelled by the vague but sudden urge that I wanted to have a needle and ink stabbed into me (a tattoo) that day, and had no idea what I wanted to get or where. I spotted the “get what you get” gumball machine through the window, which has a fixed price of £60 and you get a random flash piece. Stefan, who ran the gumball machine was obviously the one to tattoo me, and I’m so glad I went in that day. Everyone there was very friendly, but Stef especially did a great job making me feel comfortable and confident enough to let him do pretty much what he wanted on my leg. It was the least painful of my tattoos so far and it came out super cool! He was very gentle and he’s made a customer for life! Thanks Stef and everyone else at Crown Of Thorns!”

“I had heard about the tea room from others so decided to take my mother for afternoon tea today. It was absolutely fantastic and we were both trying really hard not to gobble everything down to get on to the next treat. We savoured the sandwiches, the numerous small cakes and then the scone. The whole atmosphere was welcoming and we were not rushed in any way by the friendly staff. Would definitely visit again and great value for money. I also loved the mango and passion fruit green tea. “Called here yesterday and we were so impressed. When we looked inside the tables were either occupied or reserved but we were offered a table in the courtyard at the back. Was a very hot day but we were under big parasols so it was lovely. Our order was taken promptly even though they were very busy and the food was delicious. We had the small fish and chips which was just a nice size for us. The staff were all absolutely lovely and we will definitely be back. Read on another review that you can sit outside when it's cold and they bring blankets, definitely doing that!”

Service was amazing and people very chatty and genuine. Even had a free library for you to take a book home with you or swop on your next trip. We had an afternoon tea.
