“Excellent Battersea pub just off Northcote Road about 15 minutes walk from Clapham Junction Railway Station. Three cask beers - and one cider - on handpump when I visited including an old ale. Lots of outdoor seating at the front and in the covered beer garden to the rear. Very friendly staff and a great feel about the place helped by lots of customers with dogs!”

“A really lovely pub. We like to eat inside and love the decor. Staff are super friendly and service excellent. (Server was Cello; last time we came it was Poppy- both lovely as was everyone else.) Four of us are vegetarian and chose very nice dishes (carrot soup; hummus dish; pimientos de Padrón; veggie wellington; goats cheese salad; fish and chips. We also love the soda bread.) “Our family booked The Hammer In Hand for a wake yesterday. Staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. “We had just arrived, a little jet lagged and were treated to an amazing dinner with a perfect mix of comfort food and elevated cuisine. Ksenia our bartender was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and regularly checked on us. The beers were poured to perfection, and no detail went unnoticed. Ksenia went out of her way to give us good local recommendations which was appreciated. We got the steak frites with garlic butter along with the fish and chips. Everything was fresh and delicious. I’m glad we stumbled upon this lovely place nestled in the London Bridge area.”
