“We've been here around 4-5 times in the last couple of years, and it has been pretty consistently great - especially when compared to similar places in the area. We've normally taken a (very well behaved) golden retriever, and that was originally the main draw to the place, but after a good first visit.. and a good second one, it's become a default choice. The servers are been friendly, human, chatty. The food has been pretty consistently great, and the menu is very well put together - there is something for everyone, although an additional vegi option would probably be helpful. The doggy menu is a really nice touch, and it is suitably priced (often these things are over priced - which detracts from the overall intent). Overall would recommend it. The vibe is friendly/family/relaxed.”

“Visited here with my husband and son. The food was very decent but what made our evening was the service from Jenny who was honestly outstanding! We cannot praise her enough. She was so welcoming and extremely efficient. Even though the restaurant was busy and everyone was rushed off their feet, Jenny still managed to be attentive and her service was second to none!”

“Staying locally we have visited this venue a few times with our children and 2 dogs. A very friendly, welcoming fun place that has a fantastic atmosphere. Due to refurbishing the kitchen, food was not available. However, the pub owners recommended, adjacent is a barge boats on the canal "Baltic Seafood" where we could purchase food and bring back to the pub to enjoy. The TV was showing live sport and we al enjoyed playing a game of darts too.”

“I can’t recommend Scruffy Locks enough! From the moment we walked in, the team made my dog feel completely at ease. They clearly love what they do and treat every pup like their own. The grooming was perfect—my dog came out looking (and smelling!) amazing, with the softest coat I’ve ever felt. The attention to detail was outstanding, and they even managed to keep her calm during the nail trim, which is usually a challenge. Friendly service, fair prices, and a genuine passion for animals—Scruffy Locks is the only place I’ll be bringing my dog from now on.”
