“Came in for lunch, which was really good and great price. Then found there was a shufl board and had fun playing. Half an hour for £8. Joey was really helpful and friendly. And was really good with all his customers.”
“What a great place either to take a break or just to indulge yourself if an almond croissant. Ps: I think the cheapest and greatest menu I have ever seen in London. Wish I lived closer !”
“Great stop off for refreshments before a long walk. Service is good at cafe and atmosphere always buzzing with like minded fitness enthusiasts and normal everyday dog walkers and families.”
“Wow wow wow!!! I used to come here 20 years ago and I am so happy to see that they are still in business. Has anyone lasted this long in Kingston? The wraps are still divine! Highly recommend the chicken garlic wrap ❤ Wonderful staff, go and you will not be disappointed”
“I attended the Day Unit at Kingston Hospital at the end of last month for extensive oral surgery. I found the nurses, especially Kim, to be kind and compassionate. The surgeon, anaesthetist and the whole team were brilliant. I am exceptionally grateful. Thank you. David Paton”
“I was a little worried after reading previous reviews, but I needn't have been! Short walk from the station, greeted very warmly by Alizay who was an absolute joy. Given a choice of floors, so opted for 6 as figured it would be quiet. This is the business floor... Room was spotless, even a bit of a view from the window. No issues with getting in late after a gig, key card worked fine. I felt safe as a woman on my own. Comfy bed, great shower, and no rush to check out the next morning. Another lovely gent on reception. Would definitely stay again, easy quick walk to go look at some of the sights. Really can't find fault for the price.”
“This restaurant offers exceptional service — they treat you like family from the moment you walk in. The staff genuinely care about their customers and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. The breakfast was a highlight: fresh, flavorful, and with a wonderfully natural taste. I left feeling satisfied and appreciated. Highly recommended!”
“Delicious food, quick service, central location (hidden away). We’ve had the carbonara, spinach & ricotta ravioli, crab ravioli, black spaghetti with seafood*, lemon & prawn linguine*, black seafood risotto and wild boar ravioli. All were super tasty. Also the feta with honey is so good. Great selection of juices, smoothies, coffee. Delighted to realise Nakos is now open in the evenings for dinner too! And dog friendly. (*see photos). Nakos has become my favourite place to eat in Kingston!”
“Eleena's is wonderful. Glad we found this quaint little place. Only in London for a few days and only wish we would have found this sooner. The food was beautifully seasoned, the service was a delight and just an all around great place. Can we get a carbon copy of this great restaurant back in the US?”
“Lovely piece of Portugal in Kingston. Delicious food, coffee with great friendly service. Well stocked wine "library". I asked for a recommendation for a medium priced red wine to accompany a steak dinner. It wasn't too much trouble for the owner to recommend from the wide offerings, which was much appreciated.”
“Lovely place, nice staff and food was perfect. Great home made juices with a wholesome meal. Highly recommended.”
“Great place for a lovely breakfast in sunny day have indoor and outdoor area. Very friendly owner. Nice coffee and panini! Very good price. May find free parking nearby!”
“This small lovely venue is great for gamers and you can even have your birthday party here as it has party room. First time I came here and I will return in future. Good atmosphere. We enjoyed playing Mario.”
“Honestly hands down for another GREAT roast I’ve had in England. And the fact I got a table on the day was even more surprising. The pudding it’s the best I had so far!!! I can’t thank enough to the staff politeness.”
“This place is under new management and is truly changed for the better, the new rotund boss has made some brilliant changes. Tom who resembles the jolly round butcher we all grew up with, has rebranded as a ‘Tea and sausage sandwich emporium’. You can come and enjoy your pot of lapsang suchong and bacon sarnie until late afternoon. The colourful range of local clientele also makes each visit similar to a visit to the zoo! Well worth a visit! Honestly the only coffee shop in town that is worth frequenting!”
“Brilliant local independent family run, proper old skool pub for drinkers. I'm lucky to live right opposite. Great atomosphere, always friendly. Nice seating area at the front. Very reasonable prices. Try it out! There is no food here, but some snacks and small bites sometimes. Now has a nice garden area at the back.”

“Very welcoming cafe with much appreciated bike stands! Really enjoyed the lentil soup”
“Hands down best coffee in Kingston. Lovely and friendly staff and efficient service, even on a very busy Sunday. Toastie was delightful! Would recommend!”
“Saw T J Johnson here - he is always first class - but the venue was great and a massive thank you yo the lady doing the table service - she made sure the drinks kept coming - and a very happy dispisition”
“The finest slow-cooked beef rib I have ever encountered. This dish was a revelation: perfectly succulent, masterfully cooked, and bursting with depth of flavor. An absolutely unforgettable plate. I would wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to everyone.”
“The Mill is a true gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. I'm a regular here for a reason—the coffee is perfect every time, and the menu has so many great options. The team is fantastic, especially Cali, who is always so lovely and provides exceptional service with a smile. It's the perfect place to meet friends, study, or just grab a quiet moment to yourself. I can't recommend it enough!”
“If you're near Kingston, you absolutely must stop by this wonderful cafe. It manages to combine cosy comfort with a level of presentation that turns lunch into a visual feast. The moment you walk in, you understand why people rave about the food selection. Everything from the vibrant salads and freshly prepared "baked" is meticulously displayed. It’s a true "eat with your eyes" experience, where the colours and textures are right there in front of you, making choosing a delicious challenge. But the real, undisputed star of the show is their Lemon-Ginger Honey Tea. It’s the perfect blend of sharp, sweet, and warming, a drink that instantly resets your day. Sometimes I genuinely only visit just for this tea alone, staff is always friendly and would add extra ginger or honey.”
“We went there to see "as December falls". I will be honest, I'm in my late 40's and went mainly to support my youngest (20). I can honestly say I really enjoyed myself, it had the vibe of a rock/metal gig venue from 25-30 years ago, everyone looking out for each other, but with a modern twist, a new generation following the old school values of doing their best to just love the music and doing all the can to help others enjoy it too. The other thing that struck me is the price of drinks, here in Surrey we are sadly used to being hammered by drink prices, and I fully expected the drinks to be on the he pricey side, especially as we were a captive audience, that had choice but pay the prices they charged. The date was the 15/08/2025 and 2 single vodkas with cranberry came to £11 (something). I have paid a lot more in places I have enjoy far less in the area. Finally, without going into detail, we had some additional needs, we needed a chair for the gig part, and honestly it was no trouble, we told one person at the bar, I didn't catch his name, but but the time we got into the gig part, all the staff knew, and were descreetly on hand if needed Thanks to all the staff at the fighting cocks, those at banquet records who ran the music part, and to As December Falls for a brilliant albeit hot and sticky night”
“Positioned right on the river Thames. Sit and enjoy an ice cream or coffee and light lunch. On a beautiful day it's heaven to sit there and then stroll into Kingston or Surbiton. Great selection of vegan items”
“Great place lively and friendly and well run by Josie and Andy. We attended a 50th birthday party it was fantastic.”
“Great coffee from very knowledgeable baristas. I will say the flavours are great, I’m not particularly fond of the Ethiopian blend by my partner loved it. Price was fair and reasonable. The coffee prep techniques is far superior to any coffee shops in the locality. The atmosphere was great, people were playing board games etc and the smell was amazing when you first walk in. The cookies were also great. Only slight gripe was that I was charged for a standard coffee for 2 however I wanted the V60. When I mentioned this I was refunded straight away although was told this would take 3-5 working days to debit and then I was charged properly for the V60. I think that this could have been handled better and an additional charge just for the uplift only - again this was only minor and didn’t bother me too much, but might not have been great if I didn’t have the extra money in my bank. Will visit again and again when in the area.”
“The Norbiton in (funnily enough) Norbiton, east of Kingston. A lovely, shabby chic, corner pub with high ceilings and a very open family feel to it. A large dining area and a huge patio garden at the back of the house. Lovely staff with a good sense of humour. They are fast, efficient and friendly. A super, different place to visit, enjoy a drink and some simple pizza oriented dining. A most enjoyable visit, highly recommended.”
“Fantastic Sunday roast, always our 1st choice of pub in Kingston when heading out as a family. Staff are really friendly and it has been beautifully decorated for Christmas. The Spring Grove has never disappointed us, top pub!”
“We popped in during the week around lunch time. Great pub, chilled vibes - they were playing vinyl LPs, great garden and opposite the park. Great beer selection and decent hot dog. Half price between 12 and 3pm, bonus!”
