“We popped in during the week around lunch time. Great pub, chilled vibes - they were playing vinyl LPs, great garden and opposite the park. Great beer selection and decent hot dog. Half price between 12 and 3pm, bonus!”
“The Norbiton in (funnily enough) Norbiton, east of Kingston. A lovely, shabby chic, corner pub with high ceilings and a very open family feel to it. A large dining area and a huge patio garden at the back of the house. Lovely staff with a good sense of humour. They are fast, efficient and friendly. A super, different place to visit, enjoy a drink and some simple pizza oriented dining. A most enjoyable visit, highly recommended.”
“Fantastic Sunday roast, always our 1st choice of pub in Kingston when heading out as a family. Staff are really friendly and it has been beautifully decorated for Christmas. The Spring Grove has never disappointed us, top pub!”
“A great family run pub with lovely, personable staff and amazing food! They really went above and beyond to cater to the vegan and vegetarian members of our party - the curry in particular was delicious! A brilliant meal in the sunshine on their lovely terrace!”
“I had a truly wonderful experience this past Sunday! The tomato salad was absolutely exquisite, a real standout dish. Beyond the delicious food, the atmosphere was incredible. There was a palpable buzz and energy that made the whole visit so enjoyable. It's clear that Albert is back on top – everything was perfectly executed!”
“The Almond Croissant was really good but wasn't the biggest fan of the Biscoff Latte and it didn't have a very Biscoff flavour.”
“A pub with an old-world atmosphere of England. Tasty giant portions, great selection of beers. The whole of Kingston is worth a visit. District in London with the atmosphere of a summer holiday. :-)”
“Had a lovely Sunday roast with my family, the food was delicious & the service warm & friendly. We will be in touch to book for our Christmas party.”
“A lovely little gem in Hampton Wick! The staff at Pomegranate are super friendly and welcoming, and the food is fantastic. The pasta is delicious, the bacon baguettes are the best! The perfect quiet local spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommend!”
“Very nice pub. Good drinks. Great Greek food. Authentic gyros! Good bands play there too.”
“Like walking back into the 1970s. But in a good way. Had a couple of pints here with mates last night. The beer selection was a bit bizarre, with lots of porters and stout, but I was quite happy with a pale from Exeter Brewery. The team are super friendly and having left a bag behind, I was amazed when someone not only picked up the phone at 1045, but said they'd found it. The decor is like something from Minder in the early 80s. Terrible lighting in parts but there are areas that are more dimly illuminated. Probably a good thing! There's also a pool table and a couple of darts boards which is awesome. The audio system also sounds like it's on its last legs but I'm sure it's had a good innings! Anyway, who needs music. They had Morris dancers performing in the garden to last night. Definitely pay this place a visit!”
“Lovely little cafe. Dropped in before a meeting and had one of the tastiest Pastrami panini. Very friendly owners and lovely looking cakes although I didn't try any! As I travel around London regulalary I will definitely remember this hidden gem.”
“Fantastic pub with excellent service! The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. They have a unique lineup of beers, especially the IPAs, which were some of the best I’ve had in a while. The atmosphere was great—lively but still relaxed, and the backyard is a perfect spot for smokers to unwind. Highly recommend this place for a great drink and a great vibe!”
“Went to this pub for sunday lunch and it was absolutely amazing. Food was delicious and atmosphere was cosy and inviting. Staff were all friendly and helpful, will definitely be back again!”
“Absolutely fantastic pub! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were genuinely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after, Frankie served us and she was a warm lovely person made us feel very welcomed. It’s clear the team here really care about what they do.”
“Stopped here for a quick drink while walking down the river with some friends. Staff were extremely friendly and there were plenty of choices when it came to drinks. Overall a good experience!”
“Went here for my sisters birthday, we normally go Persian palace but as we are in the area, we thought to give this place a try. Service is as amazing, can’t remember the name of the waitress but she was professional, helpful and offered suggestions. Food was good, service good, chocolate cake was good and it was in a great location.”
“Just reopened. Nicely tidied up and good staff.”
“Stepping back into this riverside pub after such a long time felt instantly familiar and warm, it was an absolute treat to be back. This place has an undeniable, irreplaceable character, sitting right on the banks of the Thames in Kingston. I've always loved that slightly rugged, "dodgy" feel of the location; it gives the pub a charming authenticity that you just don't find everywhere else. We were meeting up with friends, and the entire evening just flew by. It's testament to the company and the cozy atmosphere inside that, despite being right next to the water, I barely had a chance to look out at the river! We settled in quickly, enjoying the convivial mood and some much-needed catch-up time. The experience was fantastic across the board. The food we ordered was genuinely lovely, perfect pub fare done really well and the drinks flowed easily. What truly elevated the visit, though, was the service. The staff were consistently pleasant, attentive, and made us feel genuinely looked after without being intrusive. For anyone looking for a friendly, character-filled spot near the Thames to catch up with friends, enjoy great food, and receive wonderful service, I highly recommend this spot. I certainly won't be waiting so long for my next visit!”
“I was served by Sahand, who made me the Millionaire Hot Chocolate, and it was unbelievably good — rich, smooth, and truly memorable. One of the best drinks I’ve ever had!”
“My daughter and I come here a lot. We enjoy the upstairs area. They always have vegan whipped topping, too. A lot of Nero's don't have it made! The staff are very friendly and accommodating.”
“Love going to this Costa because of my lovely and friendly barista Sanjana who makes the best coffees and hot chocolates. Very cosy place:)”
“This is one of those pubs I've always wanted to go into but never quite plucked the courage to do so. Then once you're in, you wonder why you took so long. Tucked away behind a row of barbers, banks and takeaways, it survived the history destroying ring road creation that encases Kingston. It sticks out despite being hidden, as a building that doesn't quite belong in this part of town. The saloon type doors give way to the bar, a TV on opposite sides of the wall, there's a symmetry to the place, and you're spoiled for choice for where to go. You could people-watch at the right side, a prime spot, quite literally watching the world go by. Or you can go to the left, a favoured position of the locals, presumably due to the proximity to the jukebox, slot machine, toilets and "terrace". I perched on the corner of the bar, couple of pints of Fosters. Cash accepted, both pints south of a fiver. Unfortunately I'd missed the cut off for the sandwiches, genuinely gutted, few places offer this fine line between "pub snack" and "pub food". Intrigued by the need to specify the quality of the 50/50 bread. Sausage and onions will be the priority next time. They show all the football here, a worthy escape from the town centre to sneak in part or all of a game. That being said, I'd probably make a point of coming here specifically for the game. The pints are cheap, the staff are friendly, it's spacious and quiet. It has a predictability to it, a calmness, depending on your objective - whether it's many pints or recovery mode, this place could tick both boxes. Pubs like this are a dying breed, this one has even been knocked down and rebuilt further back (c.1950), had it not, the ringroad would've obliterated it. As so much of Kingston's history gets sold off to make luxury flats and questionably affordable housing, I don't think we'd ever get a say in the matter if this were to go. But I'm glad I've been now, and I'm looking forward to going back.”
“Best nero. Lovely and extremely fast staff. Best coffee batistas”
“I come in everyday and Omar and Sheyla have always been so nice and helpful. Best coffee shop in Kingston by a mile thanks to those two!”
“We had lunch here on a Monday. The food and service were excellent, and the restaurant modern. We would recommend it. Our starters were good, then for main I had the "dirty burger" (cheese and bacon burger) and my wife had the chicken breast, both excellent. The waitress found out it was my birthday and decorated my banoffee pie pudding accordingly (she even did a solo singing effort!). Excellent. Kids meals looked good value, so we will be going back with them. Friday they were advertising a £1 Flat White offer, so would be worth checking that out too if you just fancy a coffee.”
“I have been to plenty of Wetherspoons, and I can tell that easily this is a great place to chill with friends. Food is decent, service is decent. I have visited the place like twice per month I cannot find any other fault apart from men’s bathroom being smelly. Nice atmosphere, nice prices, not very noisy.”
“After the renovation it definitely got even better. The team is great — fast, well-organised, and they know their regular customers. Always friendly and polite.”
“We love The Gazebo. I struggle to understand why it is always quiet. Great view of the Thames. Cosy eating and a great bar area. Going to book a table for 12 today. I hope they are still open.”
