“Cafe run by charity Mencap - fantastic initiative to give people with learning disabilities the chance to learn skills in catering, customer services and hospitality. I have never eaten there but just had a quick coffee / kids snacks - it doesn't feel that warm and cosy to me, so I've never been tempted to linger too long. My suggestion would be to remove the PCs and introduce some sofas and perhaps some toys or games. Not sure how feasible that would be!”

From their reception staff who always make you feel welcome and offer great help and advice where they can to their amazing vets. One of my dogs who is very nervous and reactive was unwell recently and their head vet Adele was so amazing with her, I couldn’t believe it. It’s so nice to have a practice who genuinely care about the welfare of your pet and understand that they’re family. I wouldn’t want my pets to go anywhere else. Thanks Wylies for everything, keep up the great practise that you’ve created.”

“Brilliant service from the team at Walthamstow Central Garage. I took my car in to them for an MOT originally. It needed some repair, I was informed and given a fixed price of repairs needed in order to pass the test. My car is running smooth and have had no problems. I cant thank them enough. I have always had a bad experience as a single female and another garage locally quoted my twice the amount for the same level of repair work. I felt welcome and the service was friendly. Have recommended them to my friends and family that's how highly I rate them.”

In particular Dr Lesley who has always been professional, respectful and dignified when dealing with me. Dr Lesley has conducted all diagnoses and treatment efficiently. Also, Renuaka & Aneta 2 of the wider nursing team were friendly and polite. Amelia and the wider reception team again have always been friendly, informative and will manage appointments as in an amicable way. Overall the dental surgery is very well managed and for me it’s amazing.”

“I've been staying here on work once a month for the last 2 years. It's a consistent, solid premier inn hotel. Staff are lovely. James is a legend. None of the rooms I've been in so far have been haunted.”

“The hotel itself was really nice and clean rooms were spacious and pleasant with complimentary tea and coffee. It also had a fan in the room which was appreciated in this weather. Beds were clean and comfy with good pillows. Breakfast was ok with your standard English breakfast but there was no vegetarian or meat free alternative, so just beens mushrooms and eggs for vegetarian options, with cereal and pastries also on offer. The downside to this hotel was the that it seems to be in a deprived area with police seeming to be on call every other hour. There is an Aldi directly across from the hotel but was fronted by drug addicts and homeless however they didn't seem to cause any issues. So overall, not in the best area but I would stay here again but only as a layover for the night with the very cheap price playing the biggest part in that.”

“My experience has been really great since joining the Central Uxbridge Surgery. The doctors and the team have been so helpful. Christina, in particular, has been such a friendly face and has always been so welcoming and easy to talk to. She has always listened and taken on any concerns or queries I have had and has always tried her best to find a resolve. She’s a gem and a real asset to the team! Dr. A Abas has been an incredible GP, he was the first doctor I had seen since joining the surgery and his calm, polite and warm nature really helped me feel at ease. He was also very thorough and proactive in his assistance to getting my medical issues checked and diagnosed. He was great at explaining all the information and was very friendly and helpful.”

I realise things have changed radically over time but from its results, it is still achieving the goal the William Rodger set for the school, which was to offer education to all, irrespective of religion, colour or social background. As the School is about to celebrate its 150 anniversary, perhaps one should remember and rework John Kennedy's remark, Ask not what the School can do for me but what I can do for the School. Cowper Street allowed me, my younger brother to achieve a university education and supported both us use during our time there.”
