Cocktails and tea service bookend the meal nicely. The smoked focaccia and strawberry-sauced raw fish were our evening's highlights - creative and expertly executed. The pasta course was excellent, though the grilled quail felt somewhat predictable for this calibre of menu. “What a gem of a shop! Visited for the first time today and was so impressed by the selection of wines and beers, and the ‘wine on tap’ option, whereby you bring your own bottle (or pick up a free empty bottle from the shop) and fill it with natural red or white wine. Such a lovely idea. We bought a beautiful bottle of rioja, and the chap who served us (he said he was the brother of the owner) was just so lovely. We don’t live within walking distance but we plan to make the trip back very soon - it’s truly an exceptional little place.”

“Hired the place out for my 40th party last weekend and had a blast. I paid extra for a late license which takes music up to about 12, but means you don’t have to exit until around 1 - highly recommend for a bit of flexibility. Price is really reasonable for hire, but also the drinks & food are too. The food was fab, I even brought home some for the next day and it was super tasty. Everyone who attended had a fab time and the staff there on the evening couldn’t do enough to make it a special night! I know family who are local will look to use the venue again.”

“Had dinner the first day. It was so good that we came back for dinner the following day. The chicken biryani portion was generous and the taste of all the spices makes it perfect. On the following day we had the Mutton Karahi. Perfectly cooked, the mutton was tender and slightly spicy. Had it with Briyani rice. Try the Aloo Samosa, really lovely, nice spices on the potatoes. Forget the fancy hotel’s food around the area, this is the real deal, value for money.”
