“I went in today with my little boy who usually hates having his hair cut however Sheila cut his hair today and for the first time ever he didn't cry she was so lovely welcoming and professional i can not recommend her enough, and will definitely be going back. Thank you so much. X”

Due to recent reviews there are a few horrible reviews from a sour ex partner that is an alcoholic and was caught drink drinking 5 times over the limit. Please ignore them as these are being handled in the appropriate manner. Please come see for yourself, before putting this pub at the bottom of your list. Landlady is professional, helpful and very friendly”

“My mother & father have lived around the corner from The Albany for over 20 years but hadn’t been inside due to less than favourable reputation. WHAT A MISTAKE!! When my father passed away a few weeks ago we decided to book the Albany for my father’s wake & from start to finish they were absolutely fantastic! Their kindness towards my mother was lovely, their professionalism was top notch and the food was outstanding the chef could not do enough for us everything was made fresh to order to suit individual requirements. “I didnt eat here so cannot comment. Entry is from a side door, which is a bit sketchy. Ive been here twice now and been served by three different servers and all of them have been friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Real ale from the mighty Oak Maldon on tap was good and well looked after.”
