“I love this place. I have a membership, and it has a huge amount of classes for fitness to choose. The pools are huge indoor and outdoor. Staff are friendly, and fitness teachers are amazing. Better is a great gym, and I would recommend it to everyone. During summer you can use the Lido pool and have yoga, aqua aerobics outside. There is a car parking with lots of spaces. If you are a member of the gym, you can pay a fee of £5 at the staff desk and your Registration will be added to the Council list and you will have up to 4h free in the car park for a year.”

“We popped along with some family members to share some boat race fun as it's Very local to us, firstly we were made to feel very welcome by everyone, secondly the burgers and hotdogs were delicious and finally a big shout out to Jo and her daughter Niamh for serving us and giving us lots of information about this little gem. Would definitely recommend and will be popping in more often.”

“Lovely pool, it is split into a main pool and learner pool so that’s nice for swimmers. Lane and general swim available. My daughter has swimming lessons here and the standard of teaching is high. The kids are pushed enough to be competitive but not so much that it’s negative competition. There are windows down two sides of the pool so when the sun is low you get beautiful dappled light in the water which feels lovely to swim in. One of the most unpretentious swimming pools around! Check it out next time you want a swim!”

“Great staff, very accommodating and friendly. Hydropool and main pool could be a bit hotter at times but some people like it cooler so you can't please everyone. Shannon is absolutely brilliant and is on top of everything, the hydropool is always hot when she is around which helps with my back problems, when she is on shift, she is on top of everything and you can count on things to be tip top shape. Never a dull moment.”

“Really friendly staff all around, from in the gym to the receptions to life guards. Facilities have always been clean and car park is usually full when I go, however there are always people coming in and out, I find usually on the hr is when spaces open up, at 11 at 12 at 1 etc.”

“I’ve been a member at Fitness First for a while now, and I absolutely love it. The classes are challenging and fun, Jamie’s SPARR classes, in particular, always push me to go beyond what I thought I could do, and are so much fun, I tend to attend every week! I also do personal training sessions with Mo, who is great and very professional. He always motivates me to push myself and improve, and I can really see the progress I’m making. The staff and other members are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the atmosphere so positive and enjoyable.”

“Great place to come, a large space with a swimming pool, library and gym, as well as a cafe. The pool is a reasonably big one where they sometimes run classes and there is also a kids pool next to the main pool. The gym is also pretty big, with lots of running machines and lots of different sections. The library has books for all ages and in all different categories of books. I recommend coming here.”

“I wanted to take the opportunity to say how much I appreciate Zoe and her team when it comes to making our busy family diaries work. It always causes a clash when one of our little ones moves between swim stages. We also have the added complication of new clubs, etc., clashing with swim lessons. Zoe is always quick to respond with several options/ideas of making it work. She is a magician!”

“Nice centre with different activities you can do. It has gym, badminton courts, table tennis etc. There are also martial arts classes conducted for kids.”

“Well managed and maintained. I really enjoyed my visit. Mostly used for badminton but we also have an option for Table tennis. Based on the booking and timings TT arrangements are done. In addition to above we have multiple coaches taking badminton classes for groups … you need to connect for charges. Individual bookings can be done via Lampton leisure club (web or app) Overall good experience”

“I have received absolutely outstanding service since joining Loughton Leisure Centre. From the very beginning, Sharon, one of the managers, has been nothing short of amazing. I initially enquired online and was quickly contacted by Sharon, who followed up with a phone call and arranged a tour. I suffer with excruciating pain and often find gyms intimidating, but Sharon’s kind and genuine nature instantly put me at ease. At one point, I became tearful during our conversation, and she didn’t just brush it off — she listened, handed me a tissue, and gave me a reassuring hug. There was never any pressure to join; instead, I felt supported and understood. That made all the difference. Since signing up, I’ve been attending regularly, and the atmosphere continues to be welcoming. Becca, another member of staff, always greets members with a big smile and even remembers names — such a simple but meaningful touch that makes you feel valued. Both Sharon and Becca are a true credit to the Centre. I’ve already recommended Loughton Leisure Centre to friends and family so they too can experience the top-class service and supportive environment. Since joining, my pain has become more manageable, and I genuinely look forward to coming in.
