“Food was delicious. The decor is beautiful too. I had the scallops for starters and they were cooked to perfection and the lamb rump for main was also nice. The drinks / cocktails were rather expensive for a Croydon restaurant but they were also pretty good. Portions are not the biggest to order some sides if you’re hungry.”

“Ponte Nuovo has got to be the best Italian in Croydon. A great selection of starters, the bread and oil is so simple yet incredibly moreish, and the main courses are full of flavour and depth. Big big portions. Save space for the deserts, the gigantic profiteroles in a sea of chocolate sauce, the insanely rich tiramisu. Staff are very friendly and speak highly of the italian chef and kitchen staff; a sure sign of a good front of house/back of house team relationship. Service was perfect, meals bought out together and well presented. This is somewhere you bring family for a great dinner. At this time of year it had a good but not overpowering christmas decorative theme. We're going back soon.”

“Lovely spot for a Sunday Roast. Took the Misses and some mates here a few weeks ago and the grub was very good and very reasonably priced too. One of the best roast spuds I've had in a pub. Guinness was up there with some of the better pints I've had. Not a massive fan of the inside of the pub, bit like a sports club I prefer more of a dirty old mans boozer, but it has a cracking beer garden for the sunny days. I'd return for a summers sesh on the ciders.”

I took it to another mechanic who told me seat was fine when it wasn’t, that the bearings needed changing when they didn’t and who quoted me more to do brakes and pads….. “GO TO BABYNEST! We went in yesterday for advice on getting a replacement car seat. We were bowled over by Chloe’s knowledge and expertise, and just how friendly and helpful she was without ever being pushy. She helped us fit our new seat and even came back out after I’d fed the baby to check she was safely seated. Just amazing customer service. Babynest specialize in larger items like car seats, cots and prams - HUGE range - but has the Stokke Tripp Trapp and accessories too. I wish they also sold weaning things and clothes as would be in there all the time! If you are expecting though - go here!! Thank you Babynest!”

“Our local pub. We are not regulars but came here quite a few times with our baby son and with friends. Beer is always great, staff is lovely. Haven’t had a chance to try to food yet but will do soon. It’s dog friendly too (it has two beer gardens). We do grief the vivid blue colour. It was such a nice vibe. The white is quite ordinary.”

“I've only ever had my beard done here so can't comment on the haircuts. My facial hair is kept in tip top condition and I'm a happy repeat customer. The barbers in there are friendly and willing to chat. But something I really wanted to shout out was when I once saw a customer in there with mental disabilities. They didn't just accommodate him, but rather they were actively warm and friendly and tried to keep him engaged through his haircut. THAT'S when they won my permanent business. It gets really busy in here so you're best off either making an appointment or going in at off peak times. Also, there's a stamp card scheme (9th haircut is free).”
