Wing is super understanding about our ever chaotic schedule and it is a life saver when juggling work commitments. And Jeremy clearly loves them and treats them with great care. Great service. And lovely photos every day.”

“Hawthorn is 100% your new go-to spot in Kew/Richmond. For some background, everyone who I was with for dinner had previously dined at the Glasshouse at some point in their lives, so when we all arrived for dinner at Hawthorn, we were intrigued about how it would compare… AND WOW our expectations were blown out of the water. Not only did we each quite literally lick the plates clean, but we all felt that each course was complex yet also felt so simple and just plain delicious. We heard that the restaurant just opened a couple of weeks ago, but the food tasted as if the chefs have been cooking together for years. Whether you are there for lunch or dinner, either set menu is incredibly well priced (especially when the food quality is at this level). The sommelier is incredible, suggesting perfect pairings for each course to accommodate every taste bud or finding a bottle that works with a table of diners who ordered a mixture of seafood and meat mains! Conveniently it’s also right next to Kew Gardens station or a short walk from Richmond station - very easy to get to and definitely worth a trip. What an amazing new restaurant in Kew!”

“A fun, interactive space to climb, run, jump and explore everything that a plant needs to grow. Based in a natural setting the size of 40 tennis courts, children can explore all the things plants need to grow in our Children's Garden, designed for children from 2 to 12 years old. Over 100 mature trees are spread over this beautiful landscape, with hidden treasures and adventures around every corner, leading to a 4m high canopy walk wrapped around a 200-year-old oak in the heart of the Children's Garden. No pre-booking required – all visitors are welcome to come and go throughout the day until one hour before the Gardens close.”

“Great place to hire a venue. I have just organised a Teens party in the Alexandra Hall and everything worked perfectly well. The communication with all parties involved was excellent, and the venue has everything for a great party: large space, as many tables and chairs as you need, a mini kitchenette, enough sockets on the wall and a lift to carry everything to the Hall. We managed to fit in an Inflatable photo booth, a long table for 30, extra tables for activities and a dancing area with a DJ. Definitely a venue that to know about if you are local…or not, as it has easy access from the A4 and the A316.”

“the views from the cafe are beautiful and very peaceful! the prices were reasonable and there was plenty of seating so we were able to sit outside and take in the view in the lovely weather! the cake was delicious and service was fast. it is only a short walk from the nearby car park and is close to King Henry's Mound! will definitely be returning. :)”

“A hidden gem in a great location. I couldn’t have asked for more while up in London working. The accommodation was incredibly comfortable and peaceful and the owners were on hand if needed but otherwise left you to it. They were very helpful when the internet went down (not their fault! There were works being done in the area) and even removed a rather large spider! Fresh pain au chocolat every day and Nespress coffee machine too. A really brilliant find and I’ll come again as well as recommend to my friends.”

“Stayed here with trepidation given the mixed reviews but can honestly say I enjoyed my stay. For a very low price you get a decent sized room (much bigger than many I’ve stayed in in central London), a hot shower and clean facilities, comfortable beds, 24/7 front desk, bar and restaurant on site, convenient location for nearby sites (Hampton Court Palace, Richmond Park, Ham House, Wimbledon), helpful and friendly staff and the option to pay a small fee for car parking, a good breakfast or early check-in/late check-out. We even had a nice view overlooking the church next door. Yes, the room was warm but NOT unbearably so. Criticisms about lack of aircon aren’t exactly fair. It isn’t common to find aircon in London hotel rooms and you get what YOU pay for!”
