“First time I bought shoes was in the nineties and I have come back since and now have 4 or 5 pair from them. All are still in use and in excellent condition. Both gentlemen are very nice and considerate. The son advised me to try on a slightly larger pair and after some testing he proved to be right. She made us feel really welcome and had a thorough consultation asking my mum exactly what she wanted in a shoe. Any time a shoe wasn't quite right she knew what to do to solve issues. “Other Kids is a beautifully curated and designed local business. They are extremely knowledgeable, and provide expert advice on sizing / fit / style. The selection of shoes / clothes and other bits (books / puzzles / seasonal bits - eg bucket / spade etc) is excellent given that it is not a huge shop! It’s an absolute go to for us for school shoes and sandals - we’re extremely lucky to have a unique shop like this in Leigh! Highly recommended to anyone!”

“I brought in a pair of vintage Prada boots to be stretched and was advised that they needed to cut into the boot and add an elastic gusset. I was nervous because they said it was a difficult job, and would take quite some time. The team did the most phenomenal job! It looks beautifully neat and has been expertly done. It did take time but that was fully understandable considering the task. I was more than happy to wait and for it to be done properly, as opposed to them rushing and doing a sub par job. I thought, based off the work I have seen in reviews, it would be good but it completely exceeded my expectations. It also didn’t take as long as I expected (but it definitely took a while. To reiterate, that is much better than rushing and having a poor result). I will never take my shoes anywhere else to be fixed or altered. Totally worth the money. Thank you so, so much. Easiest 5 stars I've given!”
