“Booking recommended! My mum and I have visited Crews Hill at Christmas time for the past 10 or so years and have always finished off the day's shopping at the garden centres by having a well deserved dinner at the Plough. Staff were friendly and the food was excellent. My burger (cheese and bacon) was cooked to perfection! Chips were fantastic too. I also had the side of onion nests which I can highly recommend. Will be back again next year!”

“Came to see the ‘Velvet Horn” Cabaret night with a large group. Everyone had THE best time. Ula Lah is just the most brilliant performer and puts together one of the best nights of drag in London. Three performers, three sets. So skilled, so funny, so warm to the audience. This evening it was Ula, Shar and Yshee ~ we laughed and laughed. The unique thing is there is no stage and they perform in front of a window. Peckham becomes the backdrop to the acts. Amazing, spontaneous comedy. Pure joy. The pizza is excellent. Drinks are great. We were a really happy group. Respect to the bar staff working tirelessly throughout the night and remaining good humoured throughout. Massive thanks to Ula for putting together an amazing evening.”

“I hired the Grand Suite at the New Inn for my 60th birthday party with 110 guests. Everything was perfect! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Thanks especially to Aimee who ensured I was able to set up decorations etc. early in the day. The room is beautiful with a lovely big dance floor and nice big tables with plenty of seats. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. Great air conditioning in the main room on a very hot night was very welcome! My guests were all extremely impressed with the venue. Thank you all the staff for making everything work out so well - brilliant!”

“Can't fault the food we had for dinner - my mum had the seabass and I had the chicken. Our waitress Lidia was so lovely, warm and friendly. We were so full we could only squeeze in a scoop of sorbet for dessert (Chef was kind enough to give us two scoops). The half board option is a bit misleading - it only includes up to £90 worth of food for two people and drinks are not included.”

“We ordered via their online menu but after an hour we asked where our meal was and the order had gone missing. Great food but service seemed to be focused on the higher value alcohol purchases. Edit. Ooops... So sorry... I had the names mixed up. I don't drink alcoholic drinks so I think this picked up being nearby... I am sure your service and atmosphere is awesome. Thank you for the polite response. My experience is that many would snap and be nasty... Will definetly come in for a Coke when I am back in the area. Adjusted the review to 5 Stars!”

“I went in yesterday for a small plate of breakfast - specifically hash browns and a fried egg. The coffee was free refills and it was all reasonably priced, came quickly and with a smile. Great service. I then left my kindle on the table so called the restaurant. Clayton very kindly contacted me to arrange for the kindle to be sent by post or picked up. In the end, he worked out a solution with my brother for him to pick it up and I couldn't be happier. Such a kindness and thank you! Happy new year!”

“What a great little pub, the only reason I marked down for atmosphere is because we went at lunchtime , so maybe not as lively as in the evening. We sat in the dining area but the rest of the pub was busy. The food was delicious, hot and the batter on my chicken was perfect. Another bonus hot pork scratchings! Shouldn’t have had them before are ample dinners! The staff were so friendly and it’s reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend”
