“What a fantastic Italian restaurant. Great service - swift and polite without being over bearing. I had the risotto, wow! Friend had Bolognese Calzone and that was absolutely gorgeous too. For dessert I had the chocolate and pistachio torte was which soft and delicate. Well recommended and will return if ever I'm in the area.”

I wish the owner and staff well and hope it reopens I love to support local businesses and The Highland Steakhouse never fails to disappoint. The owner is ever present and welcoming. I highly recommend my usuals, deep fried Camembert followed by chicken highland accompanied by freshly made chips, deep fried onions and courgettes, an absolute joy.”

The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything went smoothly. The food was fantastic—delicious, well-prepared, and served in generous portions. There was a great variety on the menu, catering to all tastes, and everyone in our group found something they loved. The atmosphere was also a highlight. The large outdoor kids' play area kept the little ones entertained, which made our dining experience much more relaxed. Plus, the Christmas market at the front added a festive touch, creating a charming vibe. All in all, it was a fantastic visit—highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming environment!”

“A great pub in lovely country surroundings. They had indoor and outdoor seating. They came to our table to take our order, but also had an app. The staff are really friendly, it’s clean and roomy. For hiking, it was wonderful to have this pub on route. I would definitely recommend coming here.”

“The Windmill Pub, Chipperfield has truly been transformed since its new owners, Adam & Clare took over some weeks ago. Greeted by friendly staff, warm atmosphere accompanied by candles and fresh flowers on the tables really makes a difference , and the food—absolutely fantastic. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can really tell the new team cares about quality and customer experience. It’s definitely a places to relax, enjoy a great meal, and feel right at home. Highly recommended!”

“Popped in last night for dinner with friends. Lovely location with plenty of parking. Bar staff were lovely, big smiles and kind and courteous at all times. Food was classic pub fare but done very well. My brie burger was superbly cooked and the risotto is to be recommended also. Will definitely be returning, hopefully to try the great value Sunday roast.”

“We went for Sunday roast and everything was fantastic! I had the nut roast and as a veggie that’s a tough roast to make, it was delicious. The others had the lamb which was cooked to perfection. Sticky toffee pudding was wonderful. Proportions were ideal, not too much crowding the plate and being wasteful but more than enough for a heart Sunday lunch. Highly recommend a visit, I’ll be back again.”

“The Norbiton in (funnily enough) Norbiton, east of Kingston. A lovely, shabby chic, corner pub with high ceilings and a very open family feel to it. A large dining area and a huge patio garden at the back of the house. Lovely staff with a good sense of humour. They are fast, efficient and friendly. A super, different place to visit, enjoy a drink and some simple pizza oriented dining. A most enjoyable visit, highly recommended.”

“Really loved our meal at the Flask - perfect place for Sunday lunch after wandering around Hampstead Heath. We both went for the roast beef which was perfectly cooked, accompanied by cauliflower cheese and stuffing - really delicious! A very cosy traditional English pub. Great atmosphere also for just a drink if you are not wanting food.”

“I stopped in here last Saturday for a pint on my way to an event and it was heaving. Even though it was busy the staff were coping well; still smiling and friendly; served quickly and efficiently. There was a good, welcoming vibe and the selection on tap was an interesting range - we had a cherry melon cider! We didn’t eat here but the food we saw looked good and the toilets were clean. Would love to come back when they have live music events - happy to recommend!”

“Came here on a pub tour with my wife for our honeymoon. Loved the cider and fish and chips we had, the batter wasn’t too thick and the chips were very crispy. They washed down nicely with the tartare sauce and vinegar and were perfectly complemented by the cider. Very refreshing especially on a hot summer’s day!”
