“I had the Sunday roast today and was genuinely impressed by the flavor. It was well-seasoned and, dare I say, even better than what I’ve had at Hawksmoor! I know that sounds bold, but it’s true. The service was fantastic as well; the staff were friendly and personable. The atmosphere was relaxing, making it a perfect spot to unwind. This place is truly a gem in Croydon, and I’ll definitely be coming back often!”

“The Lord Herbert is my favourite pub in the area, and I've tried almost all of them. The live music is eclectic, the pizzas are authentic and the vibe is friendly. I can watch rugby in peace, knowing my children are safe and enthused playing with an array of board games in a cosy annex. The staff are helpful and chatty whilst the landlord is great. I'd recommend this gem to anyone and I take family and friends whenever possible.”

“Had a lovely lunch here on Thursday. Sea bass was fantastic, as always. Visiting friend had the lamb shank and thoroughly enjoyed it. Louise our waitress, was attentive and polite, making sure we had everything we needed. Food came out hot and on time and drinks service was quick. I love the atmosphere of the kings head, really warm and inviting. Will be returning soon.”

“I hired the Grand Suite at the New Inn for my 60th birthday party with 110 guests. Everything was perfect! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Thanks especially to Aimee who ensured I was able to set up decorations etc. early in the day. The room is beautiful with a lovely big dance floor and nice big tables with plenty of seats. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. Great air conditioning in the main room on a very hot night was very welcome! My guests were all extremely impressed with the venue. Thank you all the staff for making everything work out so well - brilliant!”

“Above and beyond . . . Last Saturday I ordered a takeaway Jalfrezi and a Meat Thali. Delivery was within the hour (even on a busy evening). I found that there were various dishes but wasn't sure that it was a Thali, which is one of my favourites from the Longfield Tandoori. I phoned to ask if the Thali menu had changed. I wasn't complaining, but with no hesitation they apologised and sent a traditional Thali straight away, which arrived in minutes. I've been a customer here for over ten years, but this was exceptional. Once again, many thanks!”

“Twice in under a week so it must be good. This place feels like home with a warm welcome and an inviting atmosphere. However at night there is music which is loud but a total vibe. I highly recommend the octopus it’s something you want to try and is different. The cocktail hits every spot in your tastebuds ( made with love ). Andrei have been servicing us both time he is an absolute darling very informative and both times gave as recommendation which was finger Licking good. Everyone seem to be extremely happy. We will be back.”

“The Halfway House in Sevenoaks is a good pub in every sense of the word. It offers a nice selection of beers, with the Guinness standing out as particularly good—poured to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, thanks in no small part to the lovely girls behind the bar, who are both friendly and attentive. For sports fans, the pub has football on, adding to the lively vibe, and there’s even a dartboard for those who fancy a game. It’s a spot that combines traditional charm with a relaxed, unpretentious setting. If you’re after a classic pub experience, this is the place to go.”

“So we made a mistake when booking (rather than the 21st to 23rd had booked 20th to 22nd!) and panicked when we arrived about the night that hadnt been booked. The manager put us in the room we had booked and was able to book us into a different room for the following night which we were able to transfer into early in the morning. The breakfast is amazing. The pool is incredible. Special shout out to the pool attendant who let me and my special needs child into the pool close to closing time. We weren't that thrilled with the areas of Guildford we explored, but would return purely for this hotel, fantastic”

“We managed to get hold of the only table inside on a busy Sunday afternoon. The table has 10 or 12 chairs and you can share it with other customers. The place also has a few tables outside. Service was polite and pleasant. We tried some interesting bottled drinks and ordered over 100 pieces of sushi, Poke bowl, and Katsu chicken noodle dish for a group of 6. All arrived fresh and surprisingly fast. We all enjoyed our meal. The premises were clean. Would recommend for both eat-in and takeaway. Shame that even though it was 100% sure we were eating in (we have already gotten seats before ordering), all food was served in takeaway packaging, such unnecessary waste.”

“It was a nice experience dining with the family. A waitress informed that children are not allowed after 9 pm before serving which was kind of off putting. No offence taken tho im pretty sure she was only doing her job. Speed of food arrival from order to serving to the table can increase. It did take atleast 25 minutes. Will we return? Most likely. Its a chilled place tho. Cheers folks!”

“Great track for athletics training / hyrox etc. very reasonable for PAYG at £5 per time. Multiple places to park (Ringo - paid) - about 60p an hour. Great facility.”
