“I loved the atmosphere of this pub. I was there last Sunday to try the Sunday roast. When I arrived, it was almost impossible to get a table as the place was packed, but the staff were very friendly and quickly found a spot for my wife and me. When we placed our food order, we were told it would take around 20 minutes because many tables were ordering at the same time. I went for the pork belly, and my wife chose the roast beef. We were pleasantly surprised when the food arrived much faster than expected , the portions were generous, and everything was absolutely delicious. I must also highlight the gravy and apple sauce, which was fantastic. I’ll definitely be going back with family and friends!”

“So my son has been going here for nearly a year now and I can honestly say this is a really good Nursery. The front office staff are incredibly helpful and very polite and welcoming and very understanding. As for my son's class there have been amazing he loves to go there he's learning a lot. They helped us with his toilet training, and he was out of nappies in next to no time. I was expecting it to be very hard and difficult, but we did what they advised, and within a week he was out of nappies. Genuinely, if you're looking for a really good nursery, I would highly recommend you just go there for yourself. Have a look around, speak to them, and I'm sure you'll place your little one there.”

While so many nearby pubs seem desperate to be seen as “gastro” — overpriced menus, forced décor and an air of self-importance — this place keeps it simple and gets it right. “What a welcomed surprise at the Founders Arms. My mom and I took our first trip from the sunshine of Florida to a late November cold winter visit to London. We were so blessed to have stumbled upon this amazing place while on a personal walking tour with a friend who lives in London walking from Buckingham Palace to see the Change of Guard, to Big Ben and now across the Thames to this part of town. Neither she or her colleagues have ever visited this Pub so it was a first time for everyone. We immediately walked in from the bitter cold and were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Once our party of 3 were sat down, we had had a prime spot away from the crowded bar and middle tables and were placed closer to the back area. This was ideal because we had a river view of the Thames that opened up to a postcard picture of the city with people walking by on the outside. Not only did we get placed in a great spot, our server OLLIE was a complete gem. His service was impeccable, thoughtful and genuine. He also made us feel welcomed and not as tourists. He laughed with us and gave us some inside information on other things to see and do around Borough Market. The menu was all Gluten Free and that worked perfect for my friend’s dietary needs. What also worked was that my mom and I wanted to experience our first Pub meal of the famous “Fish and Chips.” We knew London was famous and well known for this simple meal, but when it arrived at our table, we were shocked that this was like a King/Queen sized meal that was unexpected and with their smashed peas. I didn’t know this was a thing, but Hulk Smash all the peas because they were good. The whole meal was WOW! My pictures do not do it justice. We even ordered my mom’s meal To-Go back to our flat. It actually stayed hot and was very well packaged for the journey. Kudos to the chef and the staff. Be prepared to spend at least 30£ per person as a side note. In the UK, the tip is already included so expect to be treated like royalty. Ollie was amazing in service. I’m so sorry to have waited this long to write about our experience, but it’s finally here. If he forgot something, he quickly apologized and brought it to the table right away. He also gave some helpful suggestions when trying some of the non-alcoholic drinks. The Apple and Elderflower was out of this world and so was the Hot Honey and Pineapple drink that my friend ordered and I had a sample sip. Wow! Whoever came up with these drink menus are to be commended. I mean wow. They were quite expensive for the first time guest, however we now know what to expect. Thank you Ollie and the Founder’s Arms for making our first trip to a Pub memorable, exciting, fun as well as giving us our first taste of London.”

“Excellent pub/resturant if a little tricky to find (Google maps didn't quite get it right, hopefully better as I altered the pin). Lovely riverside location, great food and good staff. We eat in the restaurant and moved to the terrace for dessert. Portions were just right for us. They had a singer followed by a band down on the riverside so some nice live music to enjoy.”

“Quaint vibe, cozy couches, lazily overlooking the river, this place is exactly what you'd expect from a quintessential English pub. And like any good pub they've got mouthwatering roasts to go along with your drinks to perk up your Sundays. My experience of the roast pork was perfection, from the fluffy Yorkie to the crisp crackling. Also, special shout out to the wonderful hosts who make you feel welcome and bring a smile to your face.”

“Great spot to be in Victoria London with lovely eateries, sport restaurants and meeting places. Kudos to working together. They need to make the pedestrians passage more free and not cluttered and difficult for pedestrians to get through without excusing other users. It was made wide open for users easy access not for businesses to extend themselves and block free movement for customers. Not rocket science!”

“Golds gym is a great all rounder gym with great changing rooms which house a woman’s only jacuzzi, steam and sauna. The swimming pool is great and also has another jacuzzi. The gym has two floors of equipment, with an extensive weight selection. The classes are very popular so book early to avoid dis-appointment. The cleaners work really hard in keeping the gym lovely and clean and the staff are all very helpful and welcoming.”

“Great place to come, a large space with a swimming pool, library and gym, as well as a cafe. The pool is a reasonably big one where they sometimes run classes and there is also a kids pool next to the main pool. The gym is also pretty big, with lots of running machines and lots of different sections. The library has books for all ages and in all different categories of books. I recommend coming here.”

“My mother & father have lived around the corner from The Albany for over 20 years but hadn’t been inside due to less than favourable reputation. WHAT A MISTAKE!! When my father passed away a few weeks ago we decided to book the Albany for my father’s wake & from start to finish they were absolutely fantastic! Their kindness towards my mother was lovely, their professionalism was top notch and the food was outstanding the chef could not do enough for us everything was made fresh to order to suit individual requirements. I would like to thank the Albany on behalf of my father & we will be regular visitors from now on (I can’t wait to taste more of the chef’s delicious food 10/10 xx”

“Taught me everything I know now and a safe environment for children. This place also has a outside gym for kids,a trim trail,a shed with hula hoops and other safe but fun equipment. Shawley also has a big playground and field. It has years from reception to year 6. There is a hall where you have assembly and food. The food is really good and nutritious. You have to pay for food but it is cheap. Thanks for reading”
