“Both my kids (1 1/2 and 3 1/2 years old) currently attend SCAMPs and they love it. The staff are very professional, caring to the children and friendly to us as parents. There are always so many different activities for the children to do including a good balance of creative, physical, musical activities etc. You can follow the progress of your children through their learning journals and continual feedback is given daily. There is plenty of outdoor space for the children and they have recently done up the outside with some new play installations. They are always looking for ways to improve which is a great culture to have. The setting on the edge of the park is lovely and great for the kids to watch the lawn mowers and 'tractors!'”

“Great place to take the family swimming. Cafe has a very good menu that’s not too expensive. Plus the cafe has a small soft play (free) for the kids.”

“This is the best travelodge I have stayed in. I have had the opportunity to stay in many over the years and this little travelodge exceeded all expectations. Yes it's an old road side style travelodge ut the staff are friendly and maintain the property very well. The reception smells nice with fresh flowers and the corridor and rooms are exceptionally clean. Well done to the staff going above and beyond.”

“I was very nervous about leaving my precious 10-month-old in nursery for the first time but she has settled in beautifully. The staff are very friendly and caring, and really listen to you to try to help your child settle in and thrive. The outdoor space is amazing and I love seeing photos of my little one playing outside. The nursery uses Tapestry to record photos and daily observations, so it's easy for parents to see what their little ones have been doing during the day. I'm very happy so far and look forward to seeing my daughter learn more skills at this nursery.”

“We booked The Mews and The South Cottage for 5 nights for our wedding. The cottages were spotless, the interiors were beautiful and the views and ground of the cottages were stunning. It felt like homely luxury! The layout worked really well in terms of the number of bathrooms etc. It was the perfect place to get family and bridesmaids together before the wedding and such a beautiful place to get ready on the wedding morning itself. Would definitely recommend.”

“Not used in the conventional sense but two kind guys from the scout hut helped my son when he was knocked off his motorbike outside the scout hut. They stayed with him until I got there, gave him an ice pack and helped move his bike.”

“This was our second visit to Kerridge End and we had another comfortable stay in The Hayloft. Good facilities for a wheelchair user with a lovely wetroom and shower chair provided. Very well equipped cottage having everything we needed. A lovely hamper was left for us on arrival and a delicious plate of homemade scones and jam too. Plenty of places to visit in the area.”

“I like it here. A medium sized pond with a view up to the hills, on a quiet gravel road. Sometimes the cows come down to the water's edge, or the mist makes the whole scene gorgeous. Mallards, tufted ducks, coots, the occasional goosander, heron and kingfisher. Flocks of geese in the fields often. Swans nest here in the summer.”

“Wow what can i say we had our wedding here 2 weeks ago and it really was the perfect venue. Lucy was amazing and really helpful during the planning and on the day everything went exactly as it should all the staff were amazing on the day! jake was so helpful the night before accomadating a big party for food and was amazing on the wedding day too. John our master of ceromonies was fabulous too. All guests commented on how lovely there room was. We used the Delamere suite to get ready and for our wedding night and it was perfect. Thank you so much to everybody who made our day amazing ❤️”

“Fantastic venue. We had a 2 day golf event here. The course and facilities were fantastic. The breakfast was great and the evening meal very good. It has a separate area for the golfers to eat and drink which overlooks the gold course (although breakfast area is shared with the hotel). A few used the spa area which they said was very nice. Service was good.”

“A very professional and friendly dive club with excellent facilities including two RHIBs, compressor, gas blending facilities, an extensive range of diving equipment and an amazing club house. The training is of a very high standard and the members are very sociable. The club organises a number of diving trips a year catering for all levels of diving ability in addition to numerous social events.”

My little girl attends here and she has the best time, she’s always so excited to go in the mornings and always tells me what a great time she’s had with the biggest smile on her face which as a parent means a lot and shows how great the staff are with her. The owner and staff are all incredibly friendly & make you feel welcome. The preschool is always nice & clean and well organised! Sharon the owner will do everything she can to accommodate your needs as a family. I recommend this place to everyone who’s got young kids looking for the next step before school.”
