The freezer was empty of ice but a very helpful member of staff called Jake went down to the storeroom freezer to get some for us and also some stock for others. He finished what he was doing and immediately went to sort it. Top level customer service from Jake there. How supermarkets should be.”

“One of the most unspoken things about any cafe is the level of service. Today I was served by Jodie. She was upbeat, smiling and an absolute example of how to show up to a customer. She may go through her day with no one mentioning it, but a smile is catching. Thanks Jodie. You never know when or who might need your lightheartedness. Everything is cooked to order, it's hot and fresh, and just a few steps better quality than almost everywhere else we have stopped for breakfast. “This is a generally busy Nero coffee shop located near Manchester Royal Hospital and Manchester University. It is very close to the Whitworth Gallery. I like the coffee in Nero coffee shops. It is generally consistent. The staff in this particular branch are always friendly and helpful with good service. They keep the place tidy. My only criticism is that like many Nero Coffee shops the furniture is looking somewhat tired and in need of a refresh.”

“First of all, we like Cafe Nero because it's probably the only coffee chain in the UK that actually knows how to make real coffee. This is our go-to branch by choice because of the way it's ran and the customer service. The branch manager is a classy gentleman who knows a lot about coffee and is always very friendly. The staff there is clearly trained really well, too. Now, what we like about this branch is that they have everything! I can't remember one time that they were missing a syrup. Pistachio, honeycomb - it's all there, always there. Also, I love the fact that when you order a coffee they make sure to remind you that there is a single-origin option. It's easy to forget and it tastes SO MUCH BETTER!”
