Both the dinner and breakfast restaurant staff were also lovely, and the food was very good. The location is convenient, making it easy to get around the city. We had booked connecting rooms and received exactly what we requested — the rooms were spacious, bright, and comfortable. A great choice for families and anyone visiting Manchester.”

“I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”

Well worth a stop if using the airport to go on Holiday. Good for when you need to entertain at a restaurant. “A brand new starbucks on the edge of a busy business park, well located next to the golf course. The ususal range of edibles and drinks, I am going for 5 stars, as although this venue has only been open 3 days, and the staff are still getting to grips with things creating that slightly panicked atmosphere, it is so wonderful to have a starbucks here and they are really trying. It's well fitted and well furnished, with a range of seating suitable for couples, groups, and even small meetings. The food and drinks meet the consistent starbucks standard. There is a nice seated area outside, and it would be wonderful if they could trim the hedgerows and reveal the view of the golf course beyond. The staff were very friendly and the building is really light and the tables aren't too tightly packed inside. The car park had filled up quite quickly (first Sunday afternoon open though) but there is a lovely walk around the golf course if someone wanted to make a trip of it.”

“Really enjoyed my stay here, the staff were outstanding and hospitable, the bar next to the lobby had a welcoming, cozy feel, wonderful menu and lovely rooms. I'm not sure about some of the complaints on the size, it seemed average to me, but it was very clean which is high on my importance list, as was the rest of the hotel. This hotel is away from the city bustle a bit, but a lot of trees around the property make it very relaxing and a pleasure to escape the traffic. My only feedback is the vegan sausage in the morning was freezer burned and a little bland, they can be tossed in oil & seasoning to add flavor, but fresh/defrosted is best. My veg pizza was wonderful, so was the veg burger. Great buffet in morning. Outstanding staff professionalism in housekeeping and lobby.”

“I popped into one Thirty this Morning for a G.F. Breakfast. Unfortunately no G.F. Sausages. But I recieved plenty of Bacon to compensate. Lovely young Lady served me, very accommodating. Next Time I'll go for the "Big Breakfast" as G.F. bread are Tiny Slices. I checked out the "Breakfast box" in the Reviews it Looked BAZZIN. “I had the wonderful opportunity to visit federal market over the weekend with my sister. There was a small line but we were welcomed with hot chocolate and a wonderful greeting which made it feel like a much shorter wait. As we sat, I was greeting kindly by our waiter as we roughly scanned through the menu with only one thing in mind, French Toast. As the french toast arrived, I was astonished and amazed at the presentation. A nice strawberry syrup almost circling the french toast. Taking my first bite, the soft and pillow-like toast mixed with the not so overly sweet whipped cream and strawberry jam that really worked with well together with the acidity of the fresh fruit cutting through the richness. Every bite was consistent with that same taste as the first bite which I believe is crucial in any dish. The place was vibrant and welcoming with a nice atmosphere. Music even playing at the perfect volume where you can speak to the people with you and still enjoy it. 100% my new favorite spot here in Manchester. Recommend everyone to try the french toast.”

Our buffet was delicious, we made our choice on Mathews advice, it was perfect. The staff are all so flexible. They are polite and friendly , nothing is too much trouble. A perfect venue !!
