“Really tasty breakfast, cooked well and prepared very quickly. It’s a small cafe, so space is a bit limited. But then in a way that’s nice, nothing worse than a huge noisy place. Big car park at the back too, which is handy. Great cafe!”

The aroma alone was enough to wake me up, and the taste was smooth with just the right touch of bitterness. It’s the kind of coffee you want to take your time with and truly enjoy. “Our stay at Hyatt House Manchester was excellent. The front desk staff were very kind and extremely helpful. Both the dinner and breakfast restaurant staff were also lovely, and the food was very good. The location is convenient, making it easy to get around the city. We had booked connecting rooms and received exactly what we requested — the rooms were spacious, bright, and comfortable. A great choice for families and anyone visiting Manchester.”

    Costa Coffee

    ★★★★☆ 4.4

“I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”

    Starbucks Coffee

    ★★★☆☆ 3.7

“A brand new starbucks on the edge of a busy business park, well located next to the golf course. The ususal range of edibles and drinks, I am going for 5 stars, as although this venue has only been open 3 days, and the staff are still getting to grips with things creating that slightly panicked atmosphere, it is so wonderful to have a starbucks here and they are really trying. It's well fitted and well furnished, with a range of seating suitable for couples, groups, and even small meetings. The food and drinks meet the consistent starbucks standard. There is a nice seated area outside, and it would be wonderful if they could trim the hedgerows and reveal the view of the golf course beyond. The staff were very friendly and the building is really light and the tables aren't too tightly packed inside. The car park had filled up quite quickly (first Sunday afternoon open though) but there is a lovely walk around the golf course if someone wanted to make a trip of it.”

“Really enjoyed my stay here, the staff were outstanding and hospitable, the bar next to the lobby had a welcoming, cozy feel, wonderful menu and lovely rooms. I'm not sure about some of the complaints on the size, it seemed average to me, but it was very clean which is high on my importance list, as was the rest of the hotel. This hotel is away from the city bustle a bit, but a lot of trees around the property make it very relaxing and a pleasure to escape the traffic. My only feedback is the vegan sausage in the morning was freezer burned and a little bland, they can be tossed in oil & seasoning to add flavor, but fresh/defrosted is best. My veg pizza was wonderful, so was the veg burger. Great buffet in morning. Outstanding staff professionalism in housekeeping and lobby.”

“Craven's Coffee House: A Hidden Gem in Sale Craven's Coffee House is a charming and cozy cafe located in the heart of Ashton Village, Sale. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, and the friendly staff are always ready with a smile. Craven's offers a wide variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages, as well as a delicious selection of breakfast items, sandwiches, toasties, and cakes. Whether you're looking for a quick bite to eat or a leisurely meal, you're sure to find something to your liking on the menu. I recently visited Craven's for breakfast and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and service. I ordered the full English breakfast, which was cooked to perfection and served with a generous helping of toast. The coffee was also excellent, and I appreciated the fact that they use high-quality beans. What sets Craven's apart from other coffee shops in the area is its attention to detail. The staff are always happy to go the extra mile to ensure that customers have a pleasant experience. For example, they offer a loyalty card program, and they are always willing to make recommendations from the menu. Overall, I highly recommend Craven's Coffee House to anyone looking for a great place to eat or drink in Sale. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal or beverage, whether you're on your own or with friends and family. Highlights of my visit: * Friendly and welcoming staff * Delicious food and drinks * Cozy and inviting atmosphere * Attention to detail * Loyalty card program I would definitely recommend Craven's to: * Coffee lovers * People looking for a quick bite to eat * Families with children * Anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience Rating: 5 out of 5 stars I hope this review is helpful!”

    Federal Cafe Bar

“I had the wonderful opportunity to visit federal market over the weekend with my sister. There was a small line but we were welcomed with hot chocolate and a wonderful greeting which made it feel like a much shorter wait. As we sat, I was greeting kindly by our waiter as we roughly scanned through the menu with only one thing in mind, French Toast. As the french toast arrived, I was astonished and amazed at the presentation. A nice strawberry syrup almost circling the french toast. Taking my first bite, the soft and pillow-like toast mixed with the not so overly sweet whipped cream and strawberry jam that really worked with well together with the acidity of the fresh fruit cutting through the richness. Every bite was consistent with that same taste as the first bite which I believe is crucial in any dish. The place was vibrant and welcoming with a nice atmosphere. Music even playing at the perfect volume where you can speak to the people with you and still enjoy it. 100% my new favorite spot here in Manchester. Recommend everyone to try the french toast.”
