“I must have driven past this place a thousand times, and had never considered sitting down to eat, as it looks nothing much from outside, but then I was invited for lunch here. The food was amazing, and the staff warm and welcoming. All in all a really pleasant surprise. I'll be going back for sure!”

“This is a really good garage. I have recently used them to solve a difficult problem with my Hyundai dpt system. The work was carried out efficiently and effectively and I was able to get an appointment so much quicker than going to Hyundai. The great thing was that I was kept well informed about costs and progress and could asks questions which were answered honestly by Steve. I learnt so much from him about how the situation had arisen and as a result I will change the way I approach driving and maintaining the car. They are excellent—— use them.”

“I love BULLOCKS COACH TRIPS + have not been disappointed with any of them. From the lovely reception you receive booking on the telephone to the return journey home the atmosphere is one of enjoyment and safety. The drivers are first-class so there is no worry about journeys the coaches are `very swish` nice and clean and comfortable. The choice of day trips is always a pleasure to choose from, not too near and not too far, a Safari Park one day and maybe Wales another.Thank you for this very important, community-based company bringing the elderly or the lonely and children and teenagers together, with Mums Dads and Aunties able to relax for the day. “My son and I went in half 6 Saturday evening having just phoned ahead to check. Pub was bustling with a good atmosphere and the restaurant was filling up. Lovely friendly staff tended to us throughout the meal which was delicious! I had the chicken fillet, which had lovely crispy skin and the caramelised onion and potato gratin was fantastic and all held together with a great sauce. He had rump steak, medium rare, which was really nicely cooked. Desserts were equally good. I had sticky toffee pudding which was moist with lots of toffee sauce and a really generous helping of ice cream. He had the chocolate and salted caramel cake which was chocoholics heaven! Highly recommended.”

“I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”

“I have not been to the March Hare in a while due to the last few visits being very disappointing . Todays vidit has definitely changed my opion. We were greeted by the assistant manager Gav, he was pleasant and accommodating. We had not booked but he managed to squeeze us in. The waitress Georgia was very pleasant and professional. The food was lovely and service was prompt. 2 empty plates. The refurbishment was in character and creates a family friendly atmosphere. The outdoor area has had a much needed upgrade and definitely a place I will visit on a sunny day. The toilet upgrade is definitely a vast improvement . Excellent selection of drinks including a vast variety of zero alcohol. I would highly recommend it .”
