There were 4 fantastic not big brewet ales on tonight with good rock background music next door to the Hyde central station This pub, when drinking real ales in Hyde, is an essential visit”

“An internationally accessible haven of tranquility providing escape from the city. Dunham Massey is a brilliant green area south of Manchester, well conectes to Manchester airport. A range of flora and fauna make for a wonderful nature trail and forage, or a humble walk passively absorbing the natural landscape including forested areas and open pastures featuring abundant wildlife. On our visit most of the amenities were closed due to a met office weather warning, but this didn’t stop us exploring the vast grounds in peace. They often talk about calm before the storm, but rarely the calm during the storm- which is what we experienced due to the lack of fair weather crowds. I can imagine on more typical days tje cafes and visitors centre complete this experience with a warm drink or a hot soup after a brisk autumn stroll. I look forward to experiencing these on a future visit.”

“Family meal, first visit. What a lovely place. Such a friendly welcome and great service. The food was excellent, the best italian I have eaten for a long time. Varied choices all got great reactions. This was the first visit but we will be back.”

“Just had a lovely family lunch here, I can highly recommend the fish and chips, although all the meals looked delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful, the pub is cosy with a great beer garden that has a selection of climbing frames for the kids. Would definitely recommend a visit.”

“We had a fantastic meal at the Ring O Bells last week. It was busy (being close to Christmas) but service was prompt and attentive. The good was fantastic and we had the surprise of a Choir singing carols for entertainment. Magical! Can’t wait to book in again soon.”

“A very nice pub,not too far away from Manchester Airport. Atmosphere was very good, food equally good and reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow,but it was very busy. When our meals did arrive it was well worth the wait. Your four legged friends are also welcome. I would definitely go again.”

However, I’m giving it 4 stars because although the food was excellent, we had to ask for our drinks as they weren’t ready, which meant a bit of a wait. “Wonderful place with outdoor seating which has access to the canal. Good food, good service. You can sit outdoor for a long time. Had a wonderful evening with friends and family at this place. Enjoy the beautiful village and good places chill out the evening. Near to Manchester. 20 minutes drive, parking available. Dogs allowed.”

“Amazing! Nicola is a the exact person you want to see in a play centre/restaurant. Me and my children were welcomed from the front door (first time) and showed the play area, made conversation and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Nicola is clearly a child friendly lady (surprisingly not all play centre staff are!) she was happy, energetic, polite, funny and looked after everyone there even as it got busier. A massive relief to feel like this when you have a child who can be easily overstimulated and the reaction of new adults and environments can have a huge affect on behaviour. Tilly was so happy and couldn’t wait to get in and also spoke to Nicole as she clearly felt comfortable. Great play area for my 3 and 1 year old. After attending many play areas the staff make a huge different to wanting to return! Nicola told us about the sessions we will definitely be attending for SEN. “My friends and I came to Cottons between Christmas and New Year’s for a spa day and stay, it was a lovely day and all the facilities were fantastic. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and the spa was peaceful and relaxing. My friends had a lovely stay in the hotel and a lovely breakfast before departing. Thank you to Paul Savage who delt with our booking and helped if we needed anything, we loved our trip! Thank you for a lovely weekend we will be making this a new tradition for our friend group at Christmas time.”

The staff are always welcoming and friendly especially Lisa who always goes above and beyond to ensure that my visit is a pleasant and enjoyable experience. “Been coming in the George for few weeks now after not being here for couple of years. Food menu has changed and is really good. Two meals for £12 on certain days. Can not complain one bit. Bar staff actually have a smile on their faces and make you feel welcome. Quiz nights music pool table live football all a bonus. Dog friendly”
