“Amazing! Nicola is a the exact person you want to see in a play centre/restaurant. Me and my children were welcomed from the front door (first time) and showed the play area, made conversation and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Nicola is clearly a child friendly lady (surprisingly not all play centre staff are!) she was happy, energetic, polite, funny and looked after everyone there even as it got busier. A massive relief to feel like this when you have a child who can be easily overstimulated and the reaction of new adults and environments can have a huge affect on behaviour. Tilly was so happy and couldn’t wait to get in and also spoke to Nicole as she clearly felt comfortable. Great play area for my 3 and 1 year old. After attending many play areas the staff make a huge different to wanting to return! Nicola told us about the sessions we will definitely be attending for SEN. “My friends and I came to Cottons between Christmas and New Year’s for a spa day and stay, it was a lovely day and all the facilities were fantastic. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and the spa was peaceful and relaxing. My friends had a lovely stay in the hotel and a lovely breakfast before departing. “Easy to get to off the M6 but not too close. Nice big room, very clean. Breakfast was nice too. Its not easy to keep a hot buffet edible for long! Staff were friendly and helpful.”

The store offers a fantastic selection, and I always end up purchasing more than I originally planned due to the tempting variety available. In this occasion was on the hunt for my kid party bag fillers which was themed SPA & Pampering, the good value for money face and feet masks plus the lipsticks and nail varnishes were a hit and good value for money!”

There was no Turkey available on the Christmas menu, but there were plenty of other options available so we chose Gammon. The food was excellent quality and so delicious. We love the food and ambience here. A very nice place to eat and drink for any occasion.”

“we've come here a few times as a family, theres a massive amount of food options on the menu and everything I've had has been great, also we sometimes order a bit too much and have leftovers which they have no issues with putting it in takeaway containers and letting us take it home”

“Been coming in the George for few weeks now after not being here for couple of years. Food menu has changed and is really good. Two meals for £12 on certain days. Can not complain one bit. Bar staff actually have a smile on their faces and make you feel welcome. Quiz nights music pool table live football all a bonus. Dog friendly”

Yes it's an old road side style travelodge ut the staff are friendly and maintain the property very well. The reception smells nice with fresh flowers and the corridor and rooms are exceptionally clean. Well done to the staff going above and beyond.”

“Stayed over Thursday night and had a very cosy and hospitable stay. We ate there today and the food was exceptional with great portion sizes. We were very impressed. Helen and Hattie served us and we couldn't have asked for more, it was a warm welcome and top service from both. Couldn't recommend it enough. Will be back in the future.”

“We visit Chorley almost every month and love to eat at Hartwood Hall. Our favourite is the filet steak which is always cooked to perfection. All the staff are friendly and helpful. On our latest visit we were served by John and Pippa, always a delightful experience. This is a popular restaurant and yet there is always a parking space and it’s free. You know you can relax and enjoy the gentle atmosphere. In summer there are tables outside, a bit close to the main road for us, so we stay indoors. So are there any problems? Only two as far as I am concerned, they don’t offer blue cheese as a cheese or a sauce and pouring cream is not on the menu either. Despite this we keep coming back for the great food, try the Mac & Cheese as a great side dish, it goes with anything.”

Booking is recommended as it is a popular place to eat. I would definitely go again thanks to the affordability factor!”
