“We visited for the first time on Saturday 8th November 2025 and we were served by Simona. She couldn’t have been more attentive. The service provided was excellent and right up there with the food. I had the arancini and the carbonara with sides of tenderstem broccoli and rocket. My partner had the scarpetta and lasagne. We both really enjoyed the food, particularly the dishes I picked. Simona kindly made me aware that the carbonara was traditional and not cooked with cream, which is what I expected but I do know people who have eaten a version of “carbonara” with cream who would definitely appreciate this information for their knowledge and to be aware of what they were ordering. Despite our table being booked for 7pm on a Saturday and the restaurant being very busy, we did not wait long to be served or for our food to come out. It was all well presented and perfectly cooked. I’ve already recommended a number of people to visit since our meal and we will definitely return next time we’re in Manchester.”

“I had this place in mind for months before deciding to visit here on a date night. We booked a table easily online (via their website) and the pictures there lived up to the real thing. The deco in this place is amazing to create the right atmosphere for any occasion.... Date night, drinks with friends at the weekend or during the week. The staff were very friendly and the food.... THE FOOD! It was delicious! And reasonably priced too!”

“First time today, the food was amazing!!! Loved the option for a two/three course meal at around £23. The Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was seasoned!! And tasted so good and the portion size was perfect. The cookie desert was so tasty! Again the flavours were amazing. Defo coming back again.”

“I booked a dome for afternoon tea for partners birthday. Food was delicious. I had the vegan option which was really well thought out rather than just dupes of the classic. We were served by Angel who was very polite, professional and helpful. Angel went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and extra as its been such a hot day. “We had breakfast today at Royal Restaurant they gave us a delightful experience with its great service. The menu features both traditional and contemporary cuisine making it a wonderful choice for ANY occasion. The flavours are well balanced and the presentation is visually appealing. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and great taken care of. We ordered Aloo Tikki Sandwich OMG super hit trust me was delicious and we had omelette and paratha that was delicious too authentic plus crispy not oily at all... I We will definitely be coming back here again and would recommend this place to anybody.”

Thank you so much for making my aunt's 90th birthday such a special one and kindly allowing us to bring our own cake which was brought to the table in perfect timing and then cut for us beautifully. A family favourite of ours! 'Adult family' favourite, I may add. I wouldn't say it was a 'young family restaurant' as such. More of an adult dining experience, especially perfect for special events. To me, it feels special without being pretentious. The staff have always been incredibly kind, friendly and helpful; wanting you to enjoy your time with them. Thank you again. “Excellent gem in culcheth village. We had lunch with all dishes being fantastic and the buffalo chicken one of the best if not the best I’ve ever had. Superb for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or just evening drinks and a place to celebrate! Really attentive and friendly service staff who the owners are lucky to employ.”

“Couldn't star the food as we didn't have any HOWEVER.... the lady who owns The Gallery is an incredible artist and it shows in the decor. Before I go any further, this is also a great bar with lovely cocktails. Stunning is an understatement, there is something interesting to look at everywhere you turn. Inside and outside, just beautiful, a gorgeous place to visit. I just wish she opened every day and night, but alas, only Thursday to Saturday. Friday being the only late one till 10pm. Go and visit, you won't be disappointed.”

“The owner David puts on various speciality nights , tonight was a Thai night and all the food was prepared and cooked by his partner Sai .. Chris and his partner the owners really nice down to earth people, if your in Uppermill pls go find this lovely lil hidden cafe entrance is on the front and go downstairs really well appointed estab sit on the river and forget about the daily grind also some under canope seating if the weather's not the best.”

“A charming little restaurant with beautiful, wholesome, Polish food. The service was excellent too, the team were super friendly and very keen to chat! The food arrived promptly and everything was clearly freshly made and tasted delicious. We had starters and mains washed down with honey beer (yum!) and finished off with homemade Polish cakes. “Second time having Afternoon Tea here and still great. The staff are amazing. They are welcoming, friendly and attentive. The Afternoon Tea for 2 is tasty and fresh. We also ordered scrambled eggs on toast for our 8month old. He enjoyed it, as did I. It's the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. Came out hot, too, which was even better. Would 100% recommend without a doubt.”
