“A well kept, clean campsite. I didn't notice much road noise, although you will get the odd plane going over. The camp is set in a wooded area, so the phone signal will be poor.”
“Had a lovely stay here, in one of the Shepherds Huts. Fantastic modern, clean well facilitated accommodation. All the staff from arrival, breakfast and departure were extremely pleasant and helpful. 10/10 Strongly recommended.”
“Another fantastic meal. We both had something from the specials board and it was delicious. Very generous portions. The dinning room is lovely and clean, and the background music adds a nice touch. Service spot on as usual. Looking forward to our next visit.”
“Love the decor and vibe in the Rose & Monkey. Ambience is just right as can’t stand brightly lit pubs. Always great music playing in the background. Handy for both Northern Quarter and Ancoats.”
“Andrew and John ( 2 lovely guys) have done a fantastic job replacing my fence. I was impressed by the speedy response. I rang Monton fencing on Friday afternoon, got a quote on Monday and the work was carried on Thursday. The work has been carried out to a very high standard at a very reasonable price.”
“We turned up as a party of 5, late notice on a Sunday evening after a long drive from the West Country. Despite the kitchen about to close, the lady who served us was extremely accommodating and we were soon served with absolutely lovely Sunday roast dinners; delicious food and plenty of it, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and a nice clean and friendly pub.”
“We've been taking our dogs here for years, they've always returned in a great mood. Lovely setting and lovely staff.”
“Lovely old inn with a superb view. Good priced drinks and unbelievably friendly staff, including the delightful owners. Everybody went above and beyond, from checking in to breakfast in the morning.... Wow! The breakfast was perfect, and soaked up our hangovers from the previous nights wedding perfectly. Clean rooms, comfy beds, Will be looking for an excuse to go back soon.”
“Nice venue to stay for a local private party. Pub looked very busy but the room was excellent, clean and well maintained. Breakfast good and free overnight parking. A little pricey but enjoyed our stay.”
“Played here with a couple of friends last weekend and it was excellent. The course is in great condition, greens rolled true and the layout keeps you thinking. Lunch in the clubhouse was well cooked and the service was friendly. Worth the money and I will return.”
“My mate and I decided to go for a pub lunch and he suggested Rochdale plus more importantly The Flying Horse. He drove as he rarely drinks and the weather was classic North West rain. However, the pub was warm and welcoming so we sat at a table next to the cosy open fire. While we there the fire was topped up with firewood on a regular basis, by a member of staff. I had a pint of Ossett White Rat beer and my mate had a pint of lemonade. We were served promptly by attentive pleasant staff. As I am a member of CAMRA , I showed my card and the beer price already reasonably price, was further discounted. See the picture of the large selection of hand pull beers and prices. We both decided to have a Lancashire classic: “Rag pudding”with proper chips, mushy peas and gravy. Normally £8.75 but two meals for £14! Another bargain! I had a second pint of beer, then we had a desert that was generous in size, served by a friendly young woman. On finishing our dinner it was time to go out into cold outside. Used the toilets that were clean as expected. I can thoroughly recommend this pub / restaurant”
“100/10 Food! I Had The Nevison Burger (beef) And It Was SUPERB!! As Soon As The Rich Flavour Hit My Mouth It Was Love At First Bite! I've Been Here Many Times The Service Has Always Been Exceptional! And The Food Has Only Gotten Better! Any Review That Puts This Brilliant Pub To Shame Is Utter Nonsense. This Is A Gem. Ty 4 Reading This Aswell”
“I love this hotel — it's always an experience to stay there! I love the gothic aesthetic, the design of the rooms, and the creative attention to detail in every corner. The atmosphere feels both luxurious and mysterious, and the staff are always welcoming and professional. Every stay feels unique — it’s the perfect blend of comfort, character, and charm. The breakfast in bed was a whole new experience — beautifully presented, delicious, and thoughtfully arranged. From the perfectly brewed coffee to the warm pastries and fresh fruit, everything felt indulgent and elegant. It made the morning feel extra special, like a scene from a classic film. bssss, Batman was there !!”
“Me and my husband stayed here and booked the cinema room to view our wedding photos! WOW a memory I will never forget! Georgia was so helpful for me to plan this surprise and made our stay one to remember! The room was beautiful with music on arrival, the private cinema screening was hosted by Olivia (she is a true gem) made our evening for sure! Very friendly and attentive! Memory I will cherish forever! Followed by a lovely interaction with Gloria as we were checking out! Great hotel, great amenities and overall Great Experience!”
“I recently stayed at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The service throughout my stay was excellent — staff were attentive, friendly, and always happy to help. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, making for a very pleasant stay. What really makes this hotel stand out is its beautiful building and rich history. Housed in a stunning Grade II listed Victorian building, the architecture and design carry a timeless charm. The interiors blend classic character with modern luxury perfectly — the high ceilings, ornate details, and stylish décor keep the historic essence alive while still feeling contemporary and inviting. Overall, it’s a perfect mix of history, comfort, and elegance right in the heart of Manchester. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable stay with a touch of heritage.”
“My second stay for work in the past 2 weeks. Jack on the front desk remembered me and went above and beyond with his care and service, as did Shah too! I love staying here, great location right by station (but Susan proof so no noise), super comfy bed and reasonable prices.”
“Really nice hotel - well kept - lots of fun football details everywhere. Location is brilliant if you are a Manchester United fan. On Match Day it is quiet expensive but if you come on other days, you are able to find reasonable prices. We will come again!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our 1st visit to The Wycliffe Hotel, Stockport this weekend. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our room was spotlessly clean and a very good size. The bed was very comfortable. We ate evening meal at the restaurant Excellent Italian food. A very good choice of dishes. Breakfast also excellent. Good choices. Cooked to order. Deliciously hot. We will definitely stay here again. We can highly recommend this hotel.”
“I became unwell while staying at the hotel and Krina provided exceptional support. She acted with genuine care, regularly checked in, and made sure I had everything I needed to feel better. Her professionalism and compassion turned a difficult moment into a comforting one. She is a real asset to the team.”
“A gem for a pit stop on a long distance hike! Comfy clean rooms. Solid breakfast Excellent accommodating service - even often us a lift to the start of out hike. Everything you need under one roof.”

“Our recent stay at The Lowry was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the reception team were warm, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless, spacious and beautifully put together with thoughtful touches that made it feel really special. It had a real sense of luxury. Breakfast was another highlight, with excellent food, attentive staff and so many options! We can’t wait to visit again in the future! Thank you!”
“A superb spot for a relaxed Sunday lunch, where dogs are very much welcomed. The food offering is to a very high standard, whilst not the lowest prices, the cost reflects the quality of the produce. All the staff I encountered were excellent and appeared to be very enthusiastic about what they are doing. Cleanliness couldn't be faulted in the public areas.”
“Really enjoyed my stay – the room was nicely furnished, spotlessly clean, and offered everything I needed for a comfortable night. It felt welcoming and well cared for, and I had an undisturbed, peaceful sleep. Great value for money too. The food was another highlight. I ordered the gammon steak, which was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious – generous portion, nicely presented, and full of flavour. The overall atmosphere was warm and friendly, making it an easy place to relax and enjoy a good meal. I’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others.”
“Everything was amazing. Staff were so attentive and helpful. They were kind enough to upgrade our room which was so kind. The apartment was amazing felt so home like and the view was nice.”
“Absolutely amazing! So close to the train station which obviously is so nice We stayed in room 6. The room was lovely and clean, excellent variety in tea tray (oat milk option as well!) and still very spacious, especially for a budget option! Couldn’t have been more happy! Manager who gave us the keys was so friendly and nice. All in all amazing stay! Lovely to have the shower in the room as well (came with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash which was all very good quality and smelt vvv nice) Couldn’t have asked for better! Even came with ear plugs but we had no issues with any noise :) thank you so much!”
