“1st time visit yesterday, Friday 7th Nov 25. Welcomed in immediately, friendly, seated, busy Cafe. Order taken. Food was lovely & prices are fair. Will definitely be going again. Owners/staff so friendly,service bang on.”

“Had a impromptu lunch date at this cafe and it was wonderful! the atmosphere was relaxing and very welcoming. The staff are warm and helpful ,we had to a make dietary request and they accommodated it and it wasn't any bother. cafe is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, they have different types of chairs which was a life saver for my back! Absolutely loved the food , a little expensive I would say but definitely worth it , best BBQ chicken cheese toastie I've had and the salad that accompanied it was gorgeous. Just what was need on a hot day. I would definitely recommend this place !”

I can say with all honesty that throughout all the staff have gone above and beyond. Well done. For all those nay sayers, this is not the first Howdens kitchen I have bought. Value for money and durability is what their product is about. They have also been able to send us to the right Granite and quartz people to dress the surfaces. Outstanding . “Great to see the contemporary dance performance 'shed' by the Northern Rascals dance company at the Partington. Such a great performance dealing with timeless issues in a contemporary way in a performance which really spoke to me. Wonderful to have touring acts perform at this venue (let's bring more if we can!) as well as traditional theatre performances by the players.”

“A lovely little place that we visit every other Wednesday (unless Man Utd or City are on TV), where a gang of local musicians gather fortnightly to rehearse. The drinks are way cheaper than the pubs, and it's welcoming, comfortable, warm and friendly. If you're into snooker, there's a table upstairs too.”

“It's always a briliant store but it's a pity that Miles the frantic, frenetic, frenzied manager has left. It is many months since I wrote the above as it is late August and just been to Aldi without my glasses with £4 in my pocket. I just needed a couple of things and I got to the SS till and scanned the items, I was 25p short so asked one of the Aldi people to remove an item. "No need" he said, he then reached into a jar pulled the 25p and put it in the machine. 5 stars for this person and all the Aldi people.”

“I pass this pub on a daily basis but have never visited until today. The place is lovely. A very old building with a nice atmosphere. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place. Food is very reasonably priced.”

“Stayed here with my partner and our dog. Loved the place. Room was big and spotlessly clean, breakfast was perfect and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Loved the pub downstairs. No food was being served other than breakfast when we stayed. We tried the Indian upstairs which was lovely and also ate at the bulls heads just up the road. We will be back.”

“A big thank you to the whole Croft Lettings team who recently found me a lovely rental property. Croft are locally based in Glossop, know the area really well and genuinely care about whether the properties they are showing you will fit your needs. I didn’t get the first property I viewed with Croft Lettings but they kept me in mind for their upcoming rental properties and found me somewhere that suited me much more. The team are all lovely and will do their best to respond to any issues quickly. Really helped me during a difficult 3 month period of flat hunting! :)”

“A lovely little local pub serving great food. Nice decor and relaxing atmosphere. Dogs are made a fuss of and very welcome. The Sunday Roast is the best in the area. Fresh and Tasty food at a good price cooked to perfection by Jessica. And Kim on Front of House is just a joy. Friendly and attentive and goes out her way to make everyone feel welcome.”

“Update: I first reviewed 3 years ago (see below), we live locally and still come here including tonight and again the food was lovely and even my fussy partner was happy with his dishes. Tarka daal was outstanding, chicken tikka tender, breads competently made. Very surprised at the bad reviews, noticed many are takeaway, we usually dine I'm and it's always been a good experience. Staff are also really lovely, we were put off by a really noisy group and they went to some trouble to set up the upstairs for us. Also offered us a bigger more comfortable table downstairs initially, even though it was fairly busy on a Friday night. So what one reviewer said about being made to sit at the smallest table is not the case now. Nice relaxed place to have a great quality curry at a reasonable price. Just to point out to another reviewer slating the food for not being authentically Indian: the restaurant is Bangladeshi, not Indian. The flavours are well balanced and nans cooked to perfection - fresh and fluffy soft with some browned bits. Samosas are large and taste freshly made, definitely above average quality. Fish dishes especially recommended, really tender. I've eaten here lots and with various people, and we've hardly even had a dish we've not been completely happy with. The staff make an effort and have a sense of humour.”

“Really nice place for small kids. We spent time in the under 2's section and all the babies had a lovely time. Plenty of toys and plenty of space to place elsewhere for when they're older. Good food and coffee as well!”

“The nursery has just been rated as 'GOOD' by Ofsted in all categories. Our children are cared for well and treated as individuals. Parents are kept up to date about their child's development and learning through daily conversations and through the tapestry system.”

“I cannot recommend Victoria and her program enough. I am one of those individuals who had a major fear of flying and was able to avoid it most of my life. Then my husband had a very special work trip that I needed to attend that was across the country. I didn't know what to do as the thought of flying absolutely terrified me, but I didn't want to miss out on my husband's accomplishments either. Then along came Victoria and her program. Not only was I able to get on that plane with her help, but through the program I was able to understand how other parts of my life were driven by fears and anxiety too. I got so much more than I bargained for from her Thrive program. She also helped me with solutions and techniques to get me through my flight when I got nervous. And when I let my imagination start getting the best of me, I could hear her voice in my head reminding of the process and techniques and it really worked. I am so thankful for Victoria and I cannot believe I am saying this, but we are already planning our next trip somewhere where I will be flying again for fun! Thank you, Victoria! You've opened up a whole new world for me and I am ever so grateful!”

“I could not recommend The allotment bride florist strongly enough. Faye created stunning garlands for my father in law’s casket. He was a very eco friendly kind of guy, so Faye used all locally grown and fully biodegradable flowers. Years later, people still talk about how elegant they were. Faye is so kind and professional, you honestly won’t regret using her amazing service.”

“Not often you really get 5* service but this is our experience over 3 jobs. Our main kitchen has over 30 units and 9 appliances. The design and layout was tricky but they got it right. The supply and installation was seamless and nothing was too much trouble. Our kitchen looks fantastic and is now, the social hub of our home. The quality of fixtures and fittings is excellent and the experience from start to finish was just great. Thanks to Gary and his team, we have a cracking kitchen to enjoy for years to come.
