Upscale cafe in Manchester

“As a family tradition we go out for breakfast on the morning of a holiday. We tried this cafe as the reviews were very positive and my wife had heard about it through a work colleague. The staff were very welcoming. There were a few regulars in who made the place seem very community focussed, more friends than customers. The food was really good freshly prepped after we ordered. When I mentioned where we going on holiday the lady who served us explained she was from that same area originally and advised us of things to look out for. Can't fault it. We will visit again definitely.”

“Harrison was a lovely server, very welcoming and accommodating. We had the evening set menu and it was a great value for money! I had the empanada to start then the rump and the trés leche for dessert and it was all delicious! really recommend the dessert! will definitely be coming back! thanks team x”

Although from time to time I've strayed to other hairdressers, I always return to Johns, always delighted with the friendly service & results. John has now retired but the shop is in the capable hands of Alison & Mark, who I know will continue the great service & to treat their customers well. Highly recommended.”

Chris and his partner the owners really nice down to earth people, if your in Uppermill pls go find this lovely lil hidden cafe entrance is on the front and go downstairs really well appointed estab sit on the river and forget about the daily grind also some under canope seating if the weather's not the best.”

“They’ve started doing burger deliveries and the burgers are fantastic! Think 5 guys meets GBK. I got a double Eminem burger, it came slightly pink in the middle...just how I like it. I’ll be satisfying all my burger cravings from here for now on! Chips were also nice, draught beer vacation was lovely. I’ll give the halloumi fries a miss next time they weren’t great - my only complaint”

“My recent dinner experience at The Rising Moon Restaurant Pub was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Everything, from the moment we walked in to the time we left, exceeded our expectations. The food was simply amazing. Every dish we ordered was prepared perfectly, delivered piping hot, and tasted incredible. It’s clear the kitchen takes great pride in the quality of their ingredients and cooking. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was delightful. There was a lively, warm buzz amongst the other diners, creating a very welcoming and comfortable environment that made our evening truly enjoyable. What really made the night memorable was the exceptional service provided by the entire team. All the staff members we interacted with were incredibly nice, polite, and attentive. In particular, I must give a special mention to Adam, who was truly great. Adam was not only very friendly and professional, but he went above and beyond to make our visit special. When he learned it was my mother's birthday, he kindly and thoughtfully brought out a slice of cake for her. This gesture of genuine care and attention made her day and demonstrated a level of service that is rarely seen. The combination of great food, wonderful atmosphere, and exemplary service ensures that we will definitely be returning to The Rising Moon Pub again very soon. We had a lovely evening, and I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a superb dining experience. “Had a fantastic lunch here just now. Booked online and had to delay an hour which they were fine about. Had fantastic service and the food was great. I had the rump steak and garlic butter sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly medium just how I asked and that sauce was delicious. Thanks very much!”

“New Sunday lunch menu is delicious!! Really good gravy, lamb/beef/pork/vegetarian options all looked great. Bar staff unsure which is their favourite - always a good sign!! Haha very friendly bar staff too. Very full and content now :) vegetarian pictured. Looks like not enough gravy, but plates are huge so there was actually plenty. Thanks! :)”

“Cosy pub in a former post office building. Wide range of local and international beers. Events include: pub quiz, poetry night, live music and painting night. I haven't eaten here, but friends have told me it serves good quality, pub-style food. Outdoor seating available. Friendly and efficient staff.”

“Incredible food, venue and service. Staff were very attentive and handled an unexpected fire alarm really well. The international menu is fantastic and caters for all tastes and preferences… theres a nice mix of traditional and more inspirational dishes. The food was also really well presented and tasted of quality. Ambient and tidy setting. Reasonably priced. I was only visiting the area but I would absolutely return again.”

“We used this venue as a campervan stopover. Which was mostly OK. When we arrived to pitch up the parking area was pretty well at capacity due to a Bowls match, tis cleared after about 2 hours or so and we were able to pitch up. As this was free we decided to meet with my sister and partner and my son. The 5 of us had a pleasant meal in the pub which we enjoyed. I would suggest that the proprietors consider putting an outside drinking water tap and marked bins for waste recycling. I have no doubt that we shall be visiting again.”

“Great pub, great food. Been here a few times to dine all of which were great, most recently yesterday. Staff are friendly and helpful and always accommodating. The pub area is dog friendly with a log fire warming the pub, the restaurant is in the conservatory. Not been in the beer garden but it looks very spacious. The food is slightly more expensive than other pubs however the quality of food, venue and service justify this fairly.”
