It’s one of those local gems in Milton Keynes that might not look like much from the outside, but the food speaks for itself. Their sweet and sour chicken is one of the best I’ve had – crispy, not too greasy, and with a tangy sauce that actually tastes fresh. The portions are generous, and the prices are more than fair for the quality you get. The service is always friendly and efficient, whether you're eating in or collecting takeaway. “Hands down this is the best vegan Chinese food I’ve ever had. So many options it’s unreal! The salt & chilli chips are a top recommendation btw. They offer chow mein, rice dishes and plenty of main dishes. You can have a lot of regular dishes with vegan substitutes. When ordering, they always say it will take longer because it’s vegan and everything is cooked in separate pans to the non vegan food…this is music to my ears! Overall I’m extremely impressed with their approach to vegan cuisine and further more the food tastes amazing. 10/10 highly recommended.”

“Update: for our 2nd deliveroo order, we had lemon chicken, sweet and sour prawn balls and vegetable fried rice. My friend was impressed by the portion size of the chicken. I was impressed by the presentation - it looked beautiful. The prawn balls were great again and went very well with the veg rice. The delivery service was also better than the first time, as they put it on my doorstep as requested. My 'atmosphere' rating is for the delivery. Total: £22.50 -- Tasty Chinese meal for 2 for my first order from this takeaway. Great prawn balls - 10 in a light, crispy batter with tails left on for presentation, with a rich, sweet sauce supplied in a separate container. Mixed veg Chow Mein had crispy fresh veg and noodles in a rich, smokey sauce. Roast Duck Chinese style - looked great but my friend was disappointed that the duck was only on the top layer and the rest of the container was bean sprouts. My friend expected more meat for their money and topped up with some of my prawns. Prices: Sweet and Sour Prawn Balls £8.20 Roast Duck Chinese style £8 Mixed Vegetables Chow Mein £6.60 Total £22.8 + fees = £23 Deliveroo driver arrived on schedule and food was hot. However, we were upset that they ignored instructions on order and wouldn't leave food outside door. Instead they wanted us to take the food out of the Deliveroo box, so no social distancing at all. Great food but disappointing first experience of Deliveroo.”

“Hidden gem, nestled at the rear of an industrial estate. Offers incredible value for money on great tasting east asian cuisine. There was a 15 min wait time which was spent walking around the adjacent oriental food store. Highly recommend.”

“My Dad & I went to Purple Mango last Tuesday & Wednesday- opting to go a second time because the Tuesday was brilliant. Granted we have been to Purple Mango previously but there has been a massive gap and we are talking years. On the first night of us going I noticed a change to the inside and it looked great. Very inviting & spacious, and we picked the right time to go as the first night it started to fill up very quickly- party booking. The poppadoms and pickle selections was great as a small starter before the main meals, and all I can say is Wow. The flavours were intoxicating, and you could tell by just one bite that there were prepared from scratch. Going out to other Indiana restaurants I could tell that there there were but not with Purple Mango. And it was the same on the second visit too, even when ordering different meals. The staff were both friendly and welcoming. And once again the restaurant began to fill up about half an hour or so after we arrived. Emphasising how great a restaurant it is to go to. Highly recommended establishment to go to for a excellent authenthic meal.”

“We ordered delivery last night to Newport Pagnell, is arrived still hot, the deep fried chilli beef was the best I have had, egg fried rice still fluffy. Many other dishes but all cooked lovely. “High standard Hong Kong style food with very reasonable price. The satay beef instant noodles tastes exactly the same as I had in HK, one of the best. Beef tendon noodles really worths trying, portion is large enough. Salt and pepper squid is irresistible, my kid finish half of this dish with fried beef ho fan as main dish. I had grass jelly tea, tastes really nice and it’s a very special HK style drink. Free parking at the back of the pub. Staff are all very kind, you would feel very welcome.”
