“On a corporate level we work with The Kingfisher regularly in terms of booking meetings, corporate events and bedrooms. I can not rate Chris and the events/reservations team highly enough. They provide exceptional levels of service, never let us down and always go out of their way to exceed our expectations and ensure we return. Liaising with them is always seamless and effortless - nothing is too much trouble for them. If you're looking for an event location in Bedford please do consider The Kingfisher - their location on the river is especially lovely in the summer. Chef is great too - the food has always been very good - even when catering for large numbers. Just the bedrooms that are starting to look a little tired and in need of a bit of investment - but are more than perfectly acceptable and are always immaculately clean with high quality bedding and linen. However, this does not stop me recommending The Kingfisher enough!”

“I have stayed here on numerous occasions for work purposes. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds here are one of the most comfortable I've experienced. Air con - warm/cool is perfect. The only amenities I miss is a small fridge and iron. Shower rooms are adequate, although I do detest a fixed shower head! The staff are all very pleasant. Elizabeta and Meera in the restaurant are very professional and polite. Breakfast offers sufficient choice for me and is enjoyable.”

“Been coming to this cinema/Virgin cinema since the 90s and it's still my favourite cinema. Free parking plus a massive car park, cinema is always well kept and the staff are much friendlier than the Luton and MK staff. Also much cheaper than other Cineworlds. Really hope this doesn't close down! So many happy memories at Aspects.”

When we enquired, people said best reviews about Kidi Karu.. Ezekiel joined the nursery at the beginning of December 2024 and within 2 months he became a super child. “I had a great stay at the Northampton Bedford Road Premier Inn on the A428. The receptionist team was incredibly welcoming and made check-in smooth and friendly. A special mention to Fridah, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, excellent service from start to finish. Bottom floor was currently in progress of being refurbished. Rooms are so much better, fresher. Work men throughout the day were very polite. “Fantastic for a family day out! Want to try paddle boarding, wakeboarding or water skiing, or try your ninja skills on the inflatable obstacle? Maybe watersports aren't your thing, how about Disc Golf, Foot Golf or archery? Bit far to travel? Camp! My only issue is food is a tad pricey for what you get at the lakeside hut, £5 for a processed boiled hotdog with no option for onions or anything is a tad steep, I'd expect a proper sausage for that price, but it is what it is! Still a great destination, and there's some baby ducks this time of year too!”

“I’ve been coming here for a while and always enjoy the drinks they make, the staff are really welcoming. The variety of drinks is amazing, you can actually taste the alcohol instead of just getting ice and juice like you get everywhere else. There were so many drinks I had never heard of, what a place. The decor is so London, the atmosphere is so London and what great people they get there, I literally made new friends, there is nothing to come close to this bar in Bedford. Thank you OURS for a great 7 hours in one place that flew by, I felt like I was only there a couple. Love you all that looks after us girls. See you all soon”

“The food here is the BEST in a 20mins radius. We live in Olney but the old mill beats all of them, hands down! And we came from Tooting in london which is renowned for curry. The portion sizes are ridiculously generous so value for money is outstanding but also, the quality of meat and choice is excellent. “Towers Health & Racquets Club is a great place to train and unwind. The gym has a good range of equipment, and the courts are always in good condition. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed but professional. It can get a little busy at peak times, but overall it’s a great club to visit even as a guest.”

“Since The Mulberry Bush changed ownership, it has undergone an incredible transformation! You can immediately feel that the new management has put their heart and soul into the place. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of life – perfect for an evening out with friends or a quiet drink. The staff are always smiling, helpful, and truly care about making guests feel comfortable. The pub is clean, well-kept, and the refreshed decor has managed to preserve the traditional, cozy character. The drinks selection is great (the Guinness, in particular, is excellent), and there are plenty of activities like pool, darts, and a big screen for watching sports. The beer garden is another big plus, especially on warmer days. They also host live music nights and karaoke, creating an amazing vibe and bringing people together from across the area. You can really see and feel that The Mulberry Bush has become the heart of the local community. I’m so glad this place ended up in good hands – the changes have made a huge difference for the better. “It’s a lovely hotel with spacious rooms, and the bar staff were very friendly. We stayed there on a Thursday night, and it was pleasantly quiet. The location is convenient—just a 10-minute walk from the station—so there's no need to worry about traffic. It’s definitely a great place to stay at a reasonable price. In fact, while Premier Inn was charging nearly double, this hotel offered much better quality. I would certainly choose to stay here again if I visit Bedford in the future.”
