“Absolutely fantastic stay at Handley Barn during a visit to the Foot Health 2024 conference at Silverstone in June. I will most definitely be staying there again next year. Great location, beautiful rooms and perfect hosts. The views from Handley Barn are breathtaking. During our stay, we ate at The New Inn in the nearby village of Abthorpe which I would also highly recommend. A perfect stay in a perfect location - simply wonderful!”

“I booked here to attend the GP at Silverstone but due to unforseen circumstances I had to cancel then I was recovering so well was given permission from the hospital to attend. All through this Gill was going out of her way to accommodate me. It was a lovely experience and I would recommend this establishment without hesitation. Beautiful clean room and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. Well worth the money.”

“Modern and stylish B&B, renovated to an exceptional standard, with well thought out interior design. The host (Adam) was super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Our bedroom was beautiful, with tea and coffee facilities, cookies and plenty of wardrobe space. The towels were very luxurious and shampoo and shower gel was provided. The bed was extremely comfortable and a variety of pillows were available. Our room at the rear of the property had a Juliet balcony, with views over the garden. The breakfast provided included cereal, toast and boiled eggs, with orange juice and tea/coffee. We would certainly stay here again.”

“I spent one night before my nearby wedding at The Clock Tower with my bridesmaids and the following night with my new husband in June 2024. The rooms were big enough for our wedding party to all get ready together. Lizzie and Dave are the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They are polite, friendly and very very welcoming. All communications were spot on! The bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms are fully equipped with everything you could need and more. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the views to front and rear are to die for, the gardens are beautiful, the bathrooms are the very large, the breakfasts are plentiful (and all locally sourced produce) and were delicious. Its such a relaxing peaceful haven of calm and happiness. We cant wait to find an excuse to go back again. They have two beautiful dogs who are a pure delight.”

“What a fantastic place to stay! We usually stay at Murcott Mill, at the other end of the village (which is also absolutely excellent, and they provide a great breakfast!) but couldn't do so this trip so tried somewhere new...and what a find! We stayed in Larkrise - very roomy, comfortable and relaxing, with all the essentials like tea, coffee and milk ready in the fridge upon arrival, and lovely extras like fresh eggs from the chickens and even biscuits! Clean, friendly, secluded, will absolutely try to return. Especially appreciated having a washing machine and wet room, and loved the cats, little dog and chickens. Lots of wildlife too, enjoyed watching the bunnies, pheasants, hawks and numerous other small birds.”

“Such a great stay. We were greeted by a lovely and sweet woman who explained about the building and guided us to our room. It was clean, the bed was nice, the room was big and the bathroom was good. We had the room with the balcony. Plenty parking space available and a nice little city with a pub. Nice location, just overall very nice. And breakfast in the room. Definitely a recommendation!”

“Arjun and Anu make the stay more more than welcoming with good organisation from the start. They have never failed to accommodate for me even at last minute situations. Each apartment I have been to is beautiful, always clean and well equipped perfect for the ideal stay whether it be short or long term. Arjun and Anu minimise any delay upon check in unlike hotels and take away the hassle of dealing with hotel staff making sure you have all the information you will need upon check in. The apartments are all unique and above the usual standard for the MK area providing you with luxury’s like games consoles and smart TVs. Great hospitality from hosts that care.”

“Wonderful stay. We had a wonderful stay in Canalside B&B. Gil welcomed us with freshly made coffee. After tiring driving it was what we needed. Very comfortable bed, quiet location. We had a great night sleep. Full English breakfast & Gil's mum's homemade jams were superb. Eggs from their own chickens - what can be better? Thank you very much Gil. We definitely will be back.”

“Absolutley lovely cottages. 14 of us were down for a fishing trip. Honestly, these cottages were perfect for us. Had everything you could ask for. I would not hesitate to go back to these amazing cottages. The living area was great with an open-plan living room/kitchen area. The bedrooms were spotless and the beds were so comfy. The bathroom was more of the same, clean and tidy, and the shower was amazing too. Thank you so much for an amazing stay. We will hopefully be back again soon”

“Fantastic B&B, run by a warm and friendly couple. Jane and Charles cannot do enough for you. So much so, you feel like part of the family - especially if you here for a long-term stay. The Annex accommodation is excellent and so is the food. The cleaning standard and attention to detail reflects the conscientious attitude of the owners and the "nothing-is-too-hard" approach strengthens the appeal of this B&B. With three friendly pubs, a couple of down-to-earth convenience stores and easy access to the M1, West Haddon is an ideal place to stay - especially at the Shepherds Row B&B.”

“It is a very nice building. Good bedroom, ver clean. We had a large external bathroom. There is a well equipped kitchen and a nice sitting area. We had a good brunch in the community café, which is located in the same building. Enough private parking spaces are available, although some were sometimes occupied by visitors of community café. A good pub is in walking distance, and many walking tracks are close by. The centre of Wolverton is a 15-minute walk. We had a dog friendly room. One of the three bedrooms is dog friendly.”

“I stayed at this wonderful B&B the night before my wedding with my bridal party and I could not have been happier with my choice of venue. The view from the downstairs living area was absolutely stunning and was a real treat. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of room downstairs for all suppliers and the views from the bedrooms were beautiful. What really set this house apart was the service we receieved. Rupert and Serena were outstanding hosts and could not have done any more to make us feel welcome, from providing homemade cake and delicious breakfasts to helping us with our bags and checking in with us to see if we ever needed anything else. “We stayed for 4 nights in early September 2023 and can honestly say it's one of the best places in the area that we have stayed in. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Just about all the things in the kitchen that you need to be self sufficient. Nice quiet location. Close to nearby towns, Harlington railway station (4 miles) and M1 junction 12 (3 miles). The Plough pub in Wingfield 5 minutes walking up the road. Will definitely stay again, highly recommended.”
