“We got married at Kilworth House in October. The staff were absolutely amazing, Caroline was so helpful from start to finish and we felt so well looked after. We were able to put all of our trust into the staff at Kilworth, and our wedding day was beyond perfect. “I do not have enough words to say how incredible Plum Park Manor is! From seeing the venue for the first time and being blown away, and through the planning stage, the staff could not be more accommodating and helpful. On the day, it was simply beautiful! They helped with setting up, kept me and the bridal party up to date, and went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly. We had a slight emergency on our day but the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had such a special day! A special mention to Claire, Rowen and Izzy for all their hard work :) The venue itself was beautiful; all very clean, and didn't require much more decoration as its so picturesque already! The Bridal room had so much space to get changed in for me, 6 bridesmaids and my mum: the 4 flower girls joined us to and everyone loved getting ready in there! The men got changed next door but this wasn't an issue as still felt separate. The bedrooms were all lovely and its great they are on site and a short walk to breakfast back in the house the next morning! The food all day was delicious! From the canapés, main meal and evening pizza's, it all went down so well and all the guests loved it! I would highly recommend choosing Plum Park Manor for your wedding day! It was simply incredible in all areas and we couldn't have asked for a better day! Thank you!!”

“I had 1 night stay at Sandra's B&B. The house is immaculate as well as the room. very nicely set up. The bathroom is really nice. The bedroom window is overlooking the stable yard. However, it's all very quiet. No horses banging their doors in the morning or shouting or anything. It's just the pleasure of having the horses close by. You chose your breakfast the night before. I picked egg Benedicte, and it was delicious. Highly recommend this place. If you are staying there, you must book the Red Lion for a diner. It's absolutely delicious (piece of meat)”

“We did a last minute booking & this place was more than we expected. The room was light, comfortable & very very well appointed. To add to this was the The Navigation Inn just across the road on the banks of the Grand Union canal. The cottage complex had a beautiful garden which we could sit in. Highly recommended, definitely worth a stay.”

“My kids and now grandchild all did Scouts, and this ground is one lotscof scouts visit on a regular basis, with archery, shooting, climbing, different types of camping opportunities... its exceptional for young people of all ages. Scouts is a great teacher of life skills for boys and girls alike.”

“We had our wedding at Slapton Manor earlier this year and couldn’t recommend it enough! The wedding venue itself is great for all types of weddings and also has great accommodation on site for the wedding party. Sam was great from start to finish and accommodated all our requests and the service on the day was absolutely seamless, moving us through the day. “If you want peaceful this is your site. Facilities are kept to a very high standard washrooms have hairdressers which is a bonus. Very helpful and friendly staff, Jayne was fantastic throughout our stay. Its next to the river bank so great for fishing and kayaking, only a 10/15 mins walk into town centre.”

“It’s in a good business district location. Claim and modern. Typical Marriott and that the service is very friendly and the bed is very comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Like the other moxie brand hotels, the room itself is small, but it certainly workable. The only limitation might be as if you need a larger desk space to work you won’t get it here. There’s a really large amount of common area space on the first floor. Pool tables, and a lot of other amenities which you can see. It’s absolutely crazy how much commentary space is actually. There’s also a very nice workout room with a couple treadmills and plenty of free weights. There’s a couple of restaurants across the street and you can eat at the hotel. There’s also a very large Sainsbury’s across the street for food.”

“Excellent meal at the carrington arms, we had a couple of cuts from the meat counter, cooked perfectly to our order with some really tasty sides. Drinks and dessert also very nice, and a reasonable bill for what we had. Great service from Hannah throughout.”

The service throughout our stay was exceptional, and the food was outstanding. Dining at the Cedar Restaurant is an absolute must — it’s a truly exceptional experience and a real highlight of the stay.”

“We absolutely love this place, we come back every year as we have family near Peterborough, its quite, loads of walking with Grafham Water a short walk across a field. The wardens are brilliant the site always looks clean and tidy.”

“Great meal, generous portions - the brisket burger in particular was massive. The loaded fries we'd deffo have again. The nicest item was the surf and turf starter, quite small but super tasty. Service was friendly too. We'll go again, recommended”

“NBC is one of those off-beat stay overs. Big comfortable beds, great showers, quiet location, free on-site parking & about 15 mins from Central MK railway (40 mins into London). Breakfast is simple and self serve. Staff are incredibly helpful. Highly recommended.”

“Popped into the Crown today for a drink. We hadn't planned to eat, but the food being served looked too good to miss. The ladies behind the bar were very accommodating and soon prepared us a table despite them being busy already. The food was hot, delicious and a perfect portion size. The beef was exquisite! The service overall was brilliant and we were made to feel very welcome by everyone.”

“I was taken here as a birthday gift from a friend. It was a superb afternoon! They accommodated the fact I am pregnant and offered treatments accordingly, and then had afternoon tea to finish. Everything was superb, the premises were clean. I commented it was the poshest spa I'd ever been to!! Very luxurious day were very taken care of on the day. Would definitely return!”

“This is a hidden gem of a pub. You can stay overnight in your campervan, they have electric hook up and WiFi. The owners could not do enough for us, we rang to book and was told they stop serving food at 16:00hrs on a Sunday, but if we were late they would sort us out for food. We arrived an hour after they stopped serving but still welcomed us and let us choose whatever we wanted from the menus and the food was delicious. The locals were very friendly as was the staff/owners who could not do enough for us. We will definitely return when we are back in the area. 10 out of 10.”
