“We decided to go into Northampton Jones' fufnishers to see what stock they had in order to try out a firm HYPNOS matress.Darren had originally spoken on the phone with my husband and was so helpful even phoning a HYPNOS advisor to find their firm matress equivalent for what we had seen at a chain store bed retailer. So we felt confident ordering from Derek and at a good price too. Delivery day was a pleasure.The 2 man team were pleasant, efficient and careful avoiding the hall chandelier and voluntarily removed their shoes.(as a woman, that made me smile.)They removed the old matress first, undid, carefully, the triple cover on the matress and then placed the matress carefully in situ on the bed upstairs. There was a lot of playful banter and laughter and we were impressed with the service : the antithesis of deliveries from furniture multichain retailers!!! we have experienced over the past few years. Bigger companies nowadays do not mean best and we have learnt to choose products from smaller retailers like Jones'.We would have no qualms about ordering from them again.The matress is perfect for my husband's bad back too-big shout to HYPNOS. “We have just returned from a fabulous family weekend stay at Weasels Way. This was our third trip to Tove Valley Cottages and it as usual it did not disappoint. The property was extremely clean and well maintained and we had all the amenities we needed. The open plan layout worked really well for 3 generations of the family and the play area was a massive hit with the youngsters. The weather was good enough to sit in the outside area which had plenty of seating for us all. A highlight was a trip to Stowe which was beautiful and recommended by the owner. We had excellent contact from Annie before and after our trip. Thank you and we look forward to another visit one day.”

“We went to the Rose and Crown at Hartwell this past Friday... we've been meaning to visit here for a while. So glad we did and sorry we have not been sooner! The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. They have a great team who are really friendly, helpful and customer focused. The menu was varied and caters for all tastes. I chose the brie and mushroom crostini as a starter - it was superb! The mains were great - I opted for fish and chips and it didn't disappoint. My wife had one of the specials... the honey chilli salmon and rice with pak choi. Again, delicious! We finished off with the amazing cheese platter - it had us beat! A really generous sharer with enough for a to-go box! All round, really excellent value for a delicious meal out. This little gem is just 2 miles from Hanslope. Give it a go and support our local businesses 100% recommended!”

“Great stay at Cotel’s. The location was central but quiet in the evenings - heard little noise from outside and no noise from other apartments / lifts etc like you get in hotels. The service was really efficient regarding key collection and parking, instructions were simple to follow which after a 5-hour drive was very welcome. The apartment was spacious and very clean and the little touches such as the welcome pack and guide were very much appreciated. Would have no hesitations staying again if in the area. Many thanks!”

They understand that some needs don't adhere to the clock's whims. But the pièce de résistance, the crowning jewel of the Oak House experience, is Gayle's tour. “There's plenty to say about my experience, we came here for an afternoon tea event and stayed over night. The christmas afternoon tea was lovely, there was a live Singer with a stunning voice and she stayed singing the entire time. A varied selection of delicious and moist mini cakes, scones with jam and clotted cream and sandwiches. Along with practically never ending tea. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, the decoration In the tea room was aesthetic and service was brilliant. Staff was polite and quick for being so busy. Check in to the hotel was quick and simple, the hotel itself was also pleasant decorated. Beds comfy, shower pressure was amazing, warm lights, luxurious toiletries, the nescafe machine was a nice touch along with the classical radio. One small issue was a small patch of mold I'm the bathroom”

“It was a wonderful stay with our children as a treat. My husband and I had a lovely massage. The kids adored the pool. We sat by the open fire for hours and hours just taking in the ambience. The family room we had was lovely. Very clean and spacious. We all slept really well. We left feeling refreshed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely return. The only downside was we missed having some hash browns for breakfast!”

“One of my most favourite hotels in the whole of England! We make a pilgrimage to this hotel every year due to the most peaceful experience. One year we did the 3 days Christmas stay too! It’s just a beautiful 15th century oak panel building. The great dinning hall is out of this world, as is the service. If you want to feel like a king or queen head here! A fabulous weekend away, beautiful grounds to walk in. Can’t recommend enough.”

“We visited our local Bedford store in search of a new bed frame and mattress. Arjun greeted us and was incredibly helpful. He recommended the sleep match and allowed us to try all the suggested mattresses. He answered every question we had. We found a mattress we love and also purchased an ex-display bed frame. Our bed is being delivered this weekend, so we can’t comment on its longevity yet, but Arjun’s customer service was exceptional. Highly recommended.”

“Couldn’t recommend highly enough!! TC Kitchens recently helped us renovate our kitchen. This involved knocking down a structural wall to make an open plan kitchen diner. TC were amazing throughout and took care of everything. Alina worked with us on the design process - she made this really easy and the 3D render helped us to visualise the space. Lindsey and Sam then helped us plan out a schedule that worked around us. Tony and the rest of the building crew were fantastic. We were living at home when the work was taking place - Tony made sure we had some elements of a functioning kitchen for as long as possible. Neat and tidy, very high end workmanship and played very close attention to detail. Couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen, highly recommend!!”

“after living here for 2 years i can honestly say that we had a wonderful experience renting from richard. if we had any issues he was very quick to resolve them and provided ample time for letting us know when anything would be being done to the house. as students we were very cautious with things surrounding renting property and such but richard eased these worries and looked out for us while we were under his lease. the house its self is amazing, it felt more like a home than student accomodation which i think lead the group we were with becoming closer and gave us a more chilled out atmosphere. the property is good all year round however in the summer was where it really shined with ample space for our group to spend time together while also being close to large parks for activities. overall i think myself and the rest of our group had a great time living hear and i hope that i can find a place in the future that can feel just as homely. :)”

“I never intended to have a new kitchen! I just wanted a few more units, a decent oven and more storage space. From the very first moment, I felt Andy listened to me and understood my requirements. After he came round to measure the existing kitchen, he produced three designs and I Iiked them all. In the end, I opted for a total refit. The design challenged my thinking, but I am so glad that I chose it. I am absolutely thrilled with the result and love every minute of being in and using my new kitchen. The whole process was so well managed, with total consideration for my needs and regular updates about progress. Dan was the most thoughtful fitter and his work is impeccable. This took a lot of the stress out of the experience. Huge thanks to Andy, Dan, Georgia and Julian.”
