From start to finish, ALL staff, although very young, were confident, welcoming, professional, polite, and knowledgeable of what was on offer. The food was amazing, presentation was excellent, service exemplary and standards high. I would highly recommend to anyone.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the old chapel. This is an exceptional B&B. Rooms are very clean and have everything you need for a relaxing stay. Lots of lovely extras including home made cake and an excellent plentiful breakfast. Communication was first class throughout with extremely friendly hosts. “We got married at Sywell Grange in May 2024 and I could not recommend the venue enough! The setting is so idyllic, surrounded by farmland but still in an accessible location. Andrew was on hand throughout the planning process, helping us with our suppliers and extremely flexible with our set up. The sunset was magical as the teepee can be set up to capture the perfect golden hour. Thank you Andrew and family for the best day ever :)”

“Enjoyed my short stay very much at the Poplars. Very quaint character property that retains much of its charm. Upper rooms would be tricky for anyone with limited mobility or lots of large luggage. Cooked breakfast was excellent, plenty of everything available. Room nice & clean and bed comfortable. Shower rather small so again tricky for anyone with limited mobility so would be good to check which room you are booking if that is your circumstance. They do have accesible rooms on the ground floor.”

“We went to the Rose and Crown at Hartwell this past Friday... we've been meaning to visit here for a while. So glad we did and sorry we have not been sooner! The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. They have a great team who are really friendly, helpful and customer focused. The menu was varied and caters for all tastes. I chose the brie and mushroom crostini as a starter - it was superb! The mains were great - I opted for fish and chips and it didn't disappoint. My wife had one of the specials... the honey chilli salmon and rice with pak choi. Again, delicious! We finished off with the amazing cheese platter - it had us beat! A really generous sharer with enough for a to-go box! All round, really excellent value for a delicious meal out. This little gem is just 2 miles from Hanslope. Give it a go and support our local businesses 100% recommended!”

“Popped in for a fantastic Italian meal last night. My friend had the calzone which was crammed full of delicious pizza toppings and I had the special salmon pasta which was superb. All washed down with a few pints of Timothy Taylor Landlord. Definitely worth a visit!”

“NBC is one of those off-beat stay overs. Big comfortable beds, great showers, quiet location, free on-site parking & about 15 mins from Central MK railway (40 mins into London). Breakfast is simple and self serve. Staff are incredibly helpful. Highly recommended.”

It's only a short drive from our house, a fifteen minute drive into the countryside is always nice. Lovely looking pub which was quite full in the bar, a good atmosphere. We were served our drinks by a very friendly lady and then we took our seats in the restaurant area. Served again by a very friendly and helpful young lady. We didn't wait long for our starters, which were presented and tasted fantastic. Our mains were just the same. Hardly any wait at all and the presentation was great. Everything was cooked very very well indeed, the portion sizes were generous but not over bearing and the tastes were sensational. We'll definitely be returning, the whole experience was exemplary.
