“Commendation for Outstanding Kindness and Compassion – John Lewis Partnership Delivery Team On Friday, my 82-year-old father was completing what he proudly called his “final lawn cut of the season” when he unfortunately fell, sustaining significant facial bruising and finding himself unable to get up. Alone and distressed, he called out for help. By remarkable good fortune, two John Lewis Partnership delivery drivers were making a delivery nearby in Mansfield Woodhouse. Upon hearing his calls, they immediately came to his aid — lifting him carefully to his feet, ensuring he was steady, and accompanying him safely back into his home. Their actions were not only quick-thinking but deeply compassionate. These two individuals demonstrated exceptional care, empathy, and professionalism — going far beyond the expectations of their roles to assist an elderly gentleman in real need. As a family, we wish to extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to these outstanding members of the John Lewis team. Their conduct reflects the very highest standards of humanity, integrity, and service that the Partnership is known for. My father is currently recovering in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. We are truly comforted knowing that people like your drivers still exist — willing to step forward, without hesitation, to help a stranger in distress. “Staff in store are helpful and while you can no longer explore their five basements of back stock, ask if you're looking for something specific and they will do all they can to help you find it. Keep checking back as stock changes every few days. Keep in mind if you have it delivered staff are volunteers and it might show up with an extra scratch and unassembled, if that bothers you it's best to arrange your own collection.”

“I bought a white gloss floating shelve from my furniture and I’m very happy with delivery and quality of product. It was packaged well. I particularly like the soft close runners which makes the table feel more expensive than it actually was. It had very good stencil to mark the wall and was easy to fit. Assembly wasn’t required as arrived pre built. Very happy with the purchase”

“First class service from start to finish. We went to several different places before settling on Wren. The main reason was down to the range of colours and finishes available; it is second to none. This kitchen comprises Infinity Plus Matt Cashmere shaker doors with Autograph Elements Ocean Cypress; all appliances are Zanussi. The showroom staff were friendly, professional, offered advice where needed and nothing was too much trouble. After coming up with the first draft we had a dissenter in the family, so I returned and redesigned everything again. They were more than happy to oblige and didn't even bat an eyelid. We placed the order on our third visit. The kitchen was delivered quickly and on time. We realised that a couple of items were missing once everything was unpacked, so I rang customer services. Both missing items were delivered a couple of days later with absolutely no quibbling. A professional joiner from the local area fitted it for us. He was so impressed with the sheer quality of the units and the fittings that he plans to refurbish his own kitchen using Wren products. He commented frequently on how good everything was. This kitchen was fitted at my dad's house. The end result is fabulous; since the pictures we have finished it off with a bit of tiling and a couple of turquoise bar stools at the island. When my own finances allow, I will definitely be going to Wren for my kitchen. Although we were told that they were on the expensive side, we found the prices to be not too much more than other quotes and we had selected the top range units plus some of the more expensive Autograph Elements features. The range and choice made paying that little bit extra completely worth it. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Wren Kitchens to everyone. They were brilliant from start to finish.”

“We went to Matalan store in Bulwel in the afternoon. The place was not crowded. We had an excellent customer service. The place is also wheelchair accessible. Another advantage is that this store has a lot parking spaces. It is also near to Bulwel Forest Tram stop (it is about 4 minutes walk). Apart from different types clothes and shoes for all ages groups, the place is well stocked with other household items :kitchen items, bathroom items, storage units, children toys and many more . I would recommend this place.”

“Paul is quite friendly, fun-loving tutor and enjoys teaching music. My daughter Pia is learning Piano with him since now last 5 years and working towards grade 4 starting from scratch.. so I am very happy with her progress. Paul is making sure she enjoys playing piano rather than just rushing for grades. Thanks to him, Pia really enjoys rehearsing Piano at home and keep her interest going.. I would definitely recommend Paul to anyone who wants his son/daughter to learn Piano/guitar as I have been many his concerts where kids learning both instruments performing on stage including my daughter..”
