“Pleasant looking hotel from the outside which is situated 2 miles from the centre of Nottingham easy to drive with plenty of parking in the area. Entered reception, quick and easy booking in, and simple directions to the room, hotel was clean, tidy and pleasant decor. Restaurant with a simple menu catering for coeliacs, vegetarian and grass munchers, separate bar and lounge for relaxing in the evening with comfortable seating. Room was a double room, better suited to a single occupant. Double bed, large 48in Smart TV, coffee and tea facilities with limited coffee, tea bags and sugar, hair dry (not needed on this visit as I have little to no hair) iron and ironing board. Room itself was at the rear of the building which ment being away from the road facing a quiet residential estate and was peaceful unable to hear any road noise. Bedside table on both sides with a small dressing table with stool. There was a walk in wardrobe with plenty of space for hanging clothes (limited hangers) I would consider bring some from home. Small functional en-suit bathroom with shower and a good constant source of hot water and you didn’t need to run around in the shower to get wet. Toilet and sink with small hand and bath towels provided. Breakfast included served in the dining room, this is a full English with, Fried and scrambled eggs, button mushroom, hash browns, sausage, bacon, baked beans. The usual assortment of cereal’s, fruit, orange juice, various teas available (including herbal” & coffee, self help with toast. Breakfast is self service. Menu simple to navigate with the usual GASTRO type food available at reasonable prices. Staff were all very helpful, curious, plate and respectful, nothing was too much of a problem. Plenty of parking to the rear of the premises for cars. I stayed for 4 nights on business, main doors close at 11pm however if your a night owl your door keycard gains you access to the hotel through the reception entrance giving you a little freedom in the evenings. The hotel have free WiFi which was accessible even from the room at the back (RM 38). My only gripe was I needed a team of sharpers and oxygen for the long climb to the room, I as a little dizzy and threw myself on the bed. It is highly probably I will be in the area again in the near future and have requested my Company book me that hotel again. Very pleasant place highly recormended.”

“The staff were so lovely and welcoming, shared bathrooms were nice and clean. Rooms were very comfy, had a great nights stay. Location is very good too it’s walking distance from most attractions and close to car parks too. Very nice breakfast in the morning. Definitely recommend!”

“We ventured in for the first time and were pleasantly surprised to see fresh modern decor and receive a very warm welcome from the man behind the bar . Place was clean , served quickly with affordable pricing . Polite and friendly bar person serving what we craved most which was a positive atmosphere . We will be returning .”

“Me and bf been coming here for years and years we bring our family along sometimes to. The BEST most consistent and HIGH quality carvery. The food is always SUCH high quality, Cavery, Pizza, Burgers and refillable icecream. All amazing something for EVERYONE. Staff really friendly lovey atmosphere. Constant DEALS on the App and in person so there’s always ways to save money. Always great value for money you never leave hungry especially with the Carvery. Highly recommend!”

“We are very happy to visit an Indian restaurant again during our trip. We love this world of taste and culture. It wouldn't happen any differently today. The restaurant is simple, spacious and clean. Reception and service of guests is adequate.They are kind and helpful in choosing food. Good value for money.People with reduced mobility can also visit the restaurant. For me, the food lacked a bit of salt and it was not the usual intense seasoning. But that doesn't affect the fact that the food was delicious. I can only recommend”

“I was really pleasantly surprised when I found such a quality restaurant-pub in this small town. This is a good level of establishment for such a place and especially the employees really showed a pleasant level of service. We did not book a table in advance, which does not correspond to their rules, but the restaurant still found a free and cozy place for us. For which we were grateful to them. Also the steak exceeded all expectations. This steak was truly delicious and fantastic in combination with salad and sauce for this meat. The impressions were only positive. I recommend”

“Group of us had a curry here on their curry night event which was excellent. We ordered on their app at the table and food and drinks were served quite quickly. Staff very busy but we had great service. Good atmosphere, it was busy so be prepared to look around for a table but it is a large pub so you should find one. Very reasonably priced if you eat from the special offer menu for that day, which is usually a meal and drink . Can recommend.”

“Nice and decent wetherspoon in Carlton. The service was fast and good. You can get the reception even if you go in to the back part of the pub. Plenty of foods that you can choose. I was just surprised how fast they brought out our pints. The foods were amazing, my chicken was nice and tender, the Tikka masala was also tasty. Highly recommended place.”

“We had a fantastic visit to The Apple Tree in Nottingham. As a booking of seven people I expected at least a few errors. However there was none. The service was excellent from the beginning, the barman who took our order was amazing, really pleasant, patient and thorough throughout. (Unfortunately he didn’t have a name badge on, however is had a distinctive piercing so please pass on our thanks). The food was absolutely delicious. The mixed grill was one of the best I’ve had in years! My wife had the gammon and said exactly the same about hers. The desserts were fantastic too the Apple Pie and Creme brûlée were to die for. We’ll definitely be returning, especially as the service and value for money was outstanding. Highly recommend!”

She told us to enjoy our meal, came back to check everything was ok which is so rare these days and asked if we needed anything else. She will go far in customer service and made our experience great.”
