“Nice clean environment, pleasant and courteous service. Food was good, service was friendly, grateful we could bring the dog and nice to see others had too. Paid what you would expect. Nice lunch out with the family - very enjoyable.”

“We like this hotel, situated near the castle and not far from the main bars and restaurants and a moderate walk to the theatres and arena. One of my favourite bar areas in a Nottingham, so comfortable and cosy. The team are lovely, although we found breakfast a bit chaotic when we visited, kids running about everywhere (although not the hotel's fault) and breakfast items slow to be replenished. It wouldn't put us off staying again. Parking in the multi storey can be a bit tight for larger vehicles, but the hotel has parking next to it which is in an outside space.”

“The staff who work there are a credit to themselves as they are very clearly understaffed consistently. Despite this the staff are wonderful and give you the time of day whenever you order at the bar. I notice that on Wednesday especially the bar seems to not be staffed properly this is despite Trent's Ocean Night, Indie Wednesday's at Bodega and Jumpship at the Walrus. Again, despite this the staff work exceptionally hard. The team that works here are credit to Wetherspoons and the hospitality industry as a whole and I hope that they get the credit that they deserve from upper management within the pub.”

“Love this bar! So quirky and fun. They play great music and have quite a small dance floor so does get quite cramped. Great selection of drinks/cocktails. Can also play beer pong if you get there early enough. You do have to go down a set of stairs to get in. Would recommend”

“It's a lovely and nicely decorated pub/sizzling restaurant. Staff is welcoming and friendly Food is freshly prepared and delicious. I love that they put up the chef on duty name at the bar, so many thanks to Chef Sky, we enjoyed our meals. There is plenty of nice seating inside and outdoor dining space for good weather. There's a spacious carpark at the back for customers. For sure we would visit again!”

“This was my 1st visit here in a party of 11 (9 adults & 2 kids ) for a family lunch .The meals had already been chosen as requested at the time of the booking, which was around 4 weeks earlier, maybe due to it being on Mother's Day ? It's located next to a golf course & does have plenty of parking spaces in front of the building. There are a good number of tables outside which are undercover. Once inside ,the bar & restaurant areas are very spacious with a rustic style decor. The staff on duty were very pleasant at the bar & during table service.All the meals & including those who had room left for deserts ,looked to be very nice indeed & everyone enjoyed their food, i had the roast beef burrito which I would recommend. Probably, only disappointment being the meals actually came out the kitchen in dribs n drabs, so timings weren't the best to say the place wasn't that busy .Still , I enjoyed the visit & would recommend it it to family & friends. Cash or card payments are accepted.”

“We chose Nonsuch Kitchen to cater for our wedding in August 2022. They are seriously the loveliest people ever - they made the whole process so easy, and it was genuinely delightful to work with them. All we knew was that we wanted pie and mash for our wedding, and they REALLY delivered. The entire meal was mouthwateringly amazing, from the pie (best pie I've ever had), to the creamiest mash - even the veg was incredible. The portions were incredibly generous too - which is something you don't often get at a wedding. We've had so many compliments from our guests who have said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. They invited us for a tasting beforehand, and we got to choose from so many incredible types of pie (one of the best tasks I've ever had). If you're looking for a sign to choose Nonsuch Kitchen as your wedding caterer - THIS IS YOUR SIGN.”

“Very friendly pub adult pub feel so welcome and feel apart of the family Monday club is amazing woth bingo,stickys and karaoke and so so much more that goses off in here they have live music on a Thursday night Dogs are welcome until 6 you can”

“Coming back into ots own after a few troublesome years. The new landlady and her parter are lovely. Good cold drinks and Heineken glasses are ice cold from a fridge. Got a rear garden which can be nice in summer. Also, a private room out the back if need a venue for an event, which I believe can be used.”

“My friend needed the toilet so just to not be rude I had a pint of Carling he a Cafferys. Good prices, comely staff and customers regulars. Stapleford by the cross roads be mindful of parking I would ye park on a street grab a pint from Larry's and go on a long walk. Set the mood for a rainy day.”
