“Regularly eat here with our work team. Always guaranteed a warm welcome from the staff and there is a fair selection of beers to choose from. They do THE BEST CHIPS locally. (If you love the thick cut variety). Always a varied menu to choose from too.”
“Go here if you get a chance! My son had a wonderful birthday with all our family, the staff were absolutely wonderful and the food was amazing!”
“Bosham inn is a lovely hidden gem inside bosham and offers a lovely food menu and drink menu. The service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. Our server offered excellent recommendations and ensured everything ran smoothly throughout the meal. We will definitely be coming back and will be recommending it to others”
“This is a gem of a place. Beautiful pub and lovely setting with a great choice of fresh seafood and plenty of outdoor seating. Service was good and we had a lovely lunch here. Gets v busy though- got here just before 12 noon on a Sunday and the car park was full! There’s parking down the road though. Would definitely visit again.”
“A very warm welcome when we visited this historic pub. It has been refurbished and restyled to a very high standard, in keeping with the age of the property. The food was excellent, freshly cooked and served straight from the kitchen. Visitors and locals plus friendly dogs at ease near the log fires, no rush to leave and a totally relaxed ambience. Just the sort of pub we like added to which the owner and waitress spent time explaining their hopes for a gentlemen’s and ladies’ club to attract more clientele which they certainly deserve. We wish them well and will be back!”
“Went for a birthday party. Great entertainment, very friendly welcome and really helpful with allowing us, as disabled, to park in their car park.”
“Had the most wonderful couple of days staying here. The accommodation is really good, comfortable beds, very clean and fitted out very well. The food was really excellent both evening meals and breakfasts. Sam and the team made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The pub is a very dog friendly place, we felt "underdressed" as we do not have a dog, but we made a few canine friends. For guests staying with dogs, there is l lovely grassed quadrangle for exercising the dogs. The pub is situated in a very rural location, the location is in a dark sky area, and for my hobby of astrophotography, absolutely ideal location. Most definitely will be coming back, hopefully for a few cloud free nights.”
“I stayed one night in May at the pub. The room was nice and clean and I had lunch, dinner and breakfast, which were all very good. The location is fine for visiting the town and Cathedral. I was arriving by train and walked to the hotel with a trolley. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome. A great choice if you're travelling on your own: Lots of people in the restaurant and the pub.”
“Great 'proper' pub full of friendly locals with their dogs. Roast dinner is great and service friendly and informal. Right next to the beach too - ideal!”
“Met friends for lunch, our first visit. On a windy day a warm welcome. Friendly welcome and fabulous food.not rushed either which was nice. My wife loved the bao buns. Good vegetarian choice. And didn't mind elderly relative eating from children's menu as smaller dish. Would return”
“Just come back from a weekend in West Witterings and are super pleased we found this pub. We went for dinner and it was so good popped back for lunch on Sunday too! You will need to book as it's clearly very popular. The menu has lots of variety and everything is cooked wonderfully. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming and also very dog friendly, which was awesome for us as we were away with our dogs. We'll definitely be back.”
“Delicious food in this comfortable pub with plenty of outdoor space. Obviously popular as there is an overflow car park. The staff were friendly but we were left waiting a little too long to order. Not a great atmosphere but it was Wednesday evening, I'd return on the weekend when next in the area. Definitely worth a visit for the food.”
“We were very impressed by the food and staff at the Earl of March today. We both had the scallops starter from the al a carte menu and the dish was perfectly cooked with delicious flavours We then each had an open sandwich, these were al a carte sandwiches at normal pub prices, I had Brie, beetroot and homemade pickle, my husband had beef, both came with pickled vegetables, remoulade and brilliant homemade chunky chips that as delicious as roast potatoes, the sandwiches were thoughtful, tasty and great value for money, even though we were full we couldn’t resist sharing the sticky toffee pudding dessert and we weren’t disappointed it was gooey but light, with great ice cream on a bed a crunch. The staff were friendly, there was a lovely fire burning and I expect we’ll be back.”
“Great pub for drinks and food had a few pleasant drinks here and on a Sunday afternoon after the Carvery finished the staff came round with lovely roast potatoes in a bowl for everyone locals or people on a break much appreciated.”
“Helpful bar staff and a great venue to watch sport.”
“We've been coming to this pub/restaurant for a while now and every time we visit we have such a lovely time. The food is incredible - always so delicious...a really thoughtful specials board too. The cocktail menu is fab and we love the fact that there are some different versions of the classics - the coriander marg is definitely one to try. Really friendly and attentive service and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely lovely place to spend some time and enjoy great seasonal (of which some is very local) food. Perfect for couples or families/friends.”
“OMG I had the most amazing lasagne here! The portion size was enormous, with a generous serving of salad and chips - it was delicious! The service was so friendly too, it was a great visit.”
“What can i say, the carvery was delicious, a proper home cooked roast. My husband is fussy but he loved it. My eyes as usual were too big for my belly and they didn't hesitate to give me a container to take home. Great friendly bar lady called Kerry and perfect hosts Seb and Dulci. Thank you guys xx”
“I came across this place searching on Google. What a find... The food was great and with a nice variety of food to choose from. I liked the decor and it's American theme. It's definitely a place I will recommend and visit again”
“Stopped in to check out their carvery offer of 2x adults for £25- and was so impressed! The staff was fantastic, super friendly and the food was amazing; large portions, great quality & phenomenal value. The Halloween and Christmas decor was quirky and made us giggle. I will be back many time for other dinners soon. Highly recommend!”
“The best Sunday roast anywhere. Great service. Highly recommend this pub. The carvery I. A Sunday is fresh and home made. No lines to get your food like the toby. It's just a perfect lunch in a beautiful pub.”
“I visited this restaurant at the weekend with my partner and 2 year old, they were very accommodating, polite and thorough with the service, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely, they were very kind to our little shy boy and even gave him a lolly pop at the end which he was thrilled about. 10/10 would recommend.”
“Ah, splendid afternoon indeed! We paid a visit to The Duke at luncheon and were most pleasantly surprised. The fare was hearty, classic pub grub — quite up to snuff, I must say. Our charming hostess, April, attended to us (and our faithful hound!) with the utmost care and good cheer. All in all, a thoroughly delightful experience — jolly good show!”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lexi the bartender at Old Cross Pub was fantastic – really friendly and easy to talk to. Service was quick, and they had great recommendations for both drinks and food. You can tell they know their stuff and genuinely want guests to have a good time. It made the whole visit relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to! Thank you so much!!”
“Nice little locals pub staff were very friendly”
“Big thank you to the staff at the G&D who helped us this evening when my wife fell ill (she's out of hospital and feeling better.) Wonderful people who couldn't have been kinder or more helpful.”
“First visit for lunch . They have that steak sandwich just right. Shame it was raining as the outside area is comfortable. Easy access for wheelchair users around the pub. Definitely recommend”
“Nice Spoons. Studenty later in the week in the evenings but they seem to be a happy bunch. Staff always nice and, on a dry day, treat yourself to an outdoor seat - right opposite the cathedral.”
“Great stay at the site , all staff really helpful. Restaurant and bar really good value. Would go back no problem.”
