“This coffee van was recommended to me by my sis. She’s obsessed with Ela’s Coffee Bar :) The freshest coffee I've ever tasted. I bought my coffee bags, the beans had been ground that day morning! They smelled fantastic and tasted just as good. Cheers to Ela’s Coffee Bar!”
“Just had the most amazing jacket potatoe here that was made with so much love and care. I have just returned after a month in Cape Town, SA where the food is amazing so I have to be really well impressed to do a review like this. I am not local but will def pop in again when in the area.”
“Had a very good ploughman's and coffee, after our walk by the river. Saw several people eating takeaway baguettes and coffee from the shop so thought we'd try it. Great place, cute deli/shop and lovely cafe area and friendly staff. The cute guinea pigs in the garden were a bonus!”
“As great as ever! Been unlucky with timings recently - always best to check the website to make sure its open. The best coffee in Reading and really tasty food that arrives before you expect it! The owners are absolutely lovely, they really care about the people who visit, if I lived in Kennet Island I would definitely go every day it was open, 100% worth a detour to visit if you live remotely near Reading. :)”
“Delicious sandwich and carrot cake, nice cafe atmosphere. The only slight downer were unwatered dying plants”
“We stopped here for brunch (it was very busy) and it was really great! Staff were lovely and food was good! The portions were huge - I had the Bougie breakfast and the French toast was so YUM! High chair provided for our baby. Would definitely go back.”
“Good coffee shop with varied selection of cakes. Beyond, lies a craft beer shop, with hundreds(?) of varieties of craft beer for sale. In addition, the opportunity of sampling tap beers, which can be tried individually, or in smaller quantities, served as "flights", whereby you can make your choice of 4 beers from a selection of the six. Great evening out if you've someone sober to drive you home!”
“I really enjoyed my time at this coffee shop this place feels warm and welcoming and the coffee was honestly great staff were friendly and made me feel comfortable It’s a nice spot to sit relax or even spend some time working I’ll definitely be coming back at this place loved the place and the people”
“Stopped here for a coffee and sandwich and was really happy with my order. Coffee was really good, and I really enjoyed the sandwich, which was filled very well with plenty of sauce. Would highly recommend for anyone living local.”
“We popped into Veena's Kitchen on a bit of a whim yesterday evening and can say with confidence it was the best Thai food I've had in years. The starters were tasty (chicken wings & prawn crackers) & the Thai Green Curry was delicious & punchy. My partner had the Pad Gra Phrao which was also very tasty. Service was impeccable & the total bill reasonable. I can highly recommend a visit. We'll be back very soon!”
“Food was amazing. Very friendly and open staff. Highly recommend”
“Such a cute and delicious shop! Loved that all items are GF, and so so tasty!!! We ordered 2 sandwiches, a lemon meringue and iced teas, and a scone. Everything was so good!!”
“My 2 year old son and 7 year old niece enjoyed coming to play here together. It was something different from the usual softplay, I like the fact it was one free adult for each child entry. The food and drinks were reasonably priced. The place was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the baby changing facilities being in the only mens toilet, could do with one in the ladies changing area. Hidden gem.”
“The BEST hidden gem! The owners are absolutely wonderful – so passionate, welcoming, and friendly, they make you feel like part of the family as soon as you walk in. The food is just delicious, made with genuine Italian ingredients that taste completely different to anything you’ll find in other cafés. Every bite is full of authentic flavour and love. I always recommend this place to friends and tell all my baby massage clients to pop in after class. It is such a lovely spot to enjoy real Italian food and a relaxed atmosphere. A must visit!”
“Been to this cafe three times now every time it's wonderful experience that owner is very friendly helpful. I am in a wheelchair and I can get in easily and there is plenty of space outside. The food is tasty good prices too. Cake is excellent would definitely recommend a visit. The cake pops are DELISH!”
“Amazing place to spend a Sunday with the family or a friend. I enjoyed the time with family and friends in this place. I had a different natural tea and a piece of cake which were amazing. The young ladies who worked there made us to feel welcome and to return in the future”
“Great little independent coffee shop. Serves greay coffee which you can buy to take home. Nice little seating areas and all for a worthy cause. Always come here rather then the chain coffee shops when in aldershot”
“Oh my god. If this place closes down I'm moving out of Newbury. I actually love this place. The staff are so friendly, the food and coffee goes above and beyond, the music and decor is brilliant. I only wish I lived closer. I love their bagel and would love to see more of their hot food. Let's go Rufus!”
“We try steak double cheese pie and lamb mince pie, not bad, gravy also recommended”
“A seriously cute and gorgeous tea room, well worth making a beeline for! I had a cafeterie coffee which was delicious and used a good a good quality coffee. Although I didn't have one , the range of well priced cakes look awesome! Although inside was gorgeous and also a mini shop, sat outside in the sun on their patio overlooking the fields and farm animals. Loo was good too! lol”
“Every time I visit, I’m always greeted with a warm welcome. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. Even when the café is really busy, the wait for coffee is never long. Victoria is always especially kind, helpful, and smiling she truly makes every visit a pleasant experience. When I come with my kids, the staff are so nice and engaging with them patient and understanding, even when my little ones keep asking for things. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the coffee is consistently great. It’s one of those places that makes you feel genuinely cared for every time you stop by..”
“Brilliant theatre in Newbury been going for many years”
“Though more expensive than realise ,is busy ,friendly and cosy. Warm welcome ,grab a seat and wait your turn. Simple but works. Nice selection of sandwiches and meals. “This is a perfect place for family and friends gathering. The service is tip top, friendly and welcoming. The owner always has something interesting to share with. The beverage is brilliant. I am in love with their Hong Kong style milk tea. I have yet tried their milk tea with red bean favor. I will make sure it’s on my checklist for next visit. 100% recommend to everyone love chilling out by the river!”
“Amazing food, always friendly service, I go to a lot of cafes in the area but I can honestly say that Mortimers do the best breakfasts for miles around and the latte's are pretty lush too.”
“A really fantastic venue on the outskirts of Maidenhead. I only had time to attend a gig in the studio which was converted for the evening into an intimate theatre. Very friendly staff and very well curated.”
“This place is a little gem! I searched best burger in Basingstoke, and it didn't disappoint! The staff went out of their way to accommodate my Coeliac daughter, even popping out to buy gluten free bread! Chef came out and chatted to us! So friendly, so chilled, we thoroughly enjoyed a non rushed lunch and stayed for pudding and coffee as the atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly. The black cherry gateaux explosion was the best part of the day!!!”
“Great place, always plenty things to do with kids. Nice cafe and facilities.”
