“A random stop on our train trip. We found this great little bar. Drinks were of quality and cheaper than Wetherspoon. The bar man was lovely and the locals so friendly. I reccomend a visit ! I will come again”

“Attended a function here recently. I liked it. The function room was a decent size and well laid out. Bar well stocked with decent menu too for snacking (nuggets and chips etc). Hardworking pleasant staff. Nice outdoor area. All in all not bad at all”

Seen a few changes over the past few years, but managed to retain everything that was always good about the place while freshening it up. If you like good friendly boozers highly recommended”

“Great pub/bar in Mexborough with loads of drink choices at very reasonable prices e.g. 6 bottles of Bud in an ice bucket for £14 (as of March 2024). Loads of seating, both inside and out with snooker and pool tables available, as well as a DJ on weekends. ☆☆☆☆☆”

“Do try the Christmas pizzas excellent! Dad had the afternoon fish and chips always tremendous value. Some excellent draught ales available others not so ! Broke my golden rule try before you buy please please do this as one pint was definitely not a pleaser so tried all the other offerings on tasters and selected an outstanding pint for my sister, she's a Yorkshire lass and likes a good pint. Staff were as ever polite, friendly and engaging also a good laugh. Not always found in a lot of pubs these days.”

“This is only my second visit here and we decided to try the carvery and we're glad we did. Quickly served at the bar for drinks and ordering food. No problem finding a table mid week but would be wise to book on a weekend. Had a choice of 3 meats, 3 sorts of potatoes and 7 vegetables. I had the beef & pork with roast potato, roast carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, Swede (thankfully not mashed) white cabbage,leeks, crackling and gravy. I didn't have a Yorkshire pudding but my husband said his was beautiful. Would definitely recommend.”
