βAwesome view of the sunset when itβs a clear sky. You get an uninterrupted view of the city skyline. Itβs a good spot to chill and relax especially when they have their out door cinema up and running. Itβs also right next to the train station so you could get a train or train right up to to it.β
βAs ever...... excellent! A hidden gem - lovely river (the Don), a fantastic viaduct, lovely views across the fields. Feeding the duck and other birds, so relaxing.β
βI highly recommend Medical Solicitors. Throughout my case, communication was always at a high standard and they made the whole process hassle-free. Natasha especially was very attentive and showed a great level of compassion towards my case. Her and her team also were extremely knowledgeable in dealing with settlements and advised very well. Overall, my experience of Medical Solicitors was excellent. They were truly supportive and highly professional in dealing with my case from the very first conversation we had.β
βSo impressed with this place manager was so welcoming and friendly , and made my boy very happy and excited!β
βGreat roofing merchant, loads of materials, great prices, very busy so be patient.β
βNice trip out, forgot it was school holidays, but not too busy. Only few minutes down the road from us. Animals seem happy and well cared for. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Ample parking. Nice little gem, well worth a visitβ
βGreat experience. Lovely place and so close to home. This wildlife park is great for all ages, and people with disabilities, good wheelchair access. The parrots are great. You can have a walk in experience, they fly freely and feed from your hand. Free carpark about 8 disabled bays. Entry fee Β£16.99 standard Β£14.99 concessions. Would recommend.β
βGreat for walking the dog, letting kids run crazy, cafe, ice creams . What more could you ask for. An update to previous review. There are new paths in place to help those with disability or parents with prams. They have cleaned around tree feature too so you can take a rest if you like.β
βHadnβt been for around 8/9 years and itβs had a huge transformation. Lots of cafes dotted around, updated signage. There was a farmers market on which had great vendors and nice food outlets. Rufford is a so beautiful and itβs been well enhancedβ
βMy friends and I can here as part of our weekend away.. we are so glad we did! Didnβt disappoint. Peter was so informative and just lovely with the animals, can tell he loves his job. Nipped to the cafe, beautiful selection of cakes etc.. Tina was wonderful and obviously also loves where she works. Thank you for a lovely day!β
βA lovely little park with tennis courts and childrens play area. This park is home to bishops house a Tudor hunting lodge now a museum with Tudor period rooms. There are also wonderful panoramic views of Sheffield from the top of the hill. It is great for sledging in winter thanks to it's steep hills.β
βGreat place, can be busy in the playground area but a lot more secluded and calm in the woodland part of it. They have a really great river and even have a lake to feed the ducks. In my opinion one of the best parks in sheff. They are even equipped with a nice cafe.β
βSmall play area for kids. The cafe is spacious with lots of outdoor seating. Public toilets to the right of the cafe are generally clean. Good park and play area for kids and dog friendlyβ
βLarge park with free parking looking wonderful in Autumn.β
βMillhouse Park is a lovely spot for both relaxation and recreation. Itβs perfect for a peaceful walk, with plenty of open space and greenery to enjoy. Families will especially appreciate the well-maintained childrenβs play area, which keeps little ones entertained for hours. The cafeteria with pond view with boat rides adds a charming touch. On top of that, the park offers a variety of playgrounds and sports areas, so thereβs something for everyone. Whether youβre looking to unwind, spend quality time with family, or enjoy some outdoor activities, Millhouse Park is a great choice.β
βIt's a beautiful house and gardens. The lake area is beautiful and well kept, there's ducks and geese too. The gardens are well maintained and there's plenty of seats and trestle tables dotted around. It's a great place to chill out on a sunny day. There's a great cafe with seating inside and outside, it has a large menu which includes vegan and gluten free dishes and has a large selection of hot & cold drinks. The gardens are fairly small but there are plenty of public rights of way and the countryside is beautiful. It's around 1 mile walk from Sprotbrough and only 2.5 mile walk from Doncaster.β
βMyself and my little boy (14months) came here for light illuminations and stayed over in hotel. What an amazing time! Hotel was immaculate, super clean, modern. A great nights sleep! Staff were super friendly and helpful especially accommodating as I was my own with little one. Only downside was the travel cot mattress was extremely hard but this is common across most hotels we visit. Zoo itself was great. Super clean, great to see all the animals, play areas were super for little ones too. Illuminations was spectacular and SO impressive! Will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend :)β
βIt was amazing day out with the kids, I recommend it to everyone. Also contains big water splash areaβ
βLovely park and cafe always a different walk to doβ
βStill the same giant slide from when I was little and visited here. Nice park and a little cafe including toilets. Car park could be a bit better as not much room for many cars.β
βWhat a lovely campsite in such a beautiful location. The campsite is pristine with what looks like newly refurbished toilet and shower block (Limetree). The campsite is located within Clumber Park. There is something for everyone here. I enjoyed 2 days of hiking the trails around the lake and wider park. There is a cafe trailer at the top of the lake about a 1.5 mile walk from the site. The main cafe within the National Trust complex in the park is about 2 miles from the site. The walking is easy as it is mostly flat. I will definitely be returning here.β
βA fantastic campsite right in the middle of sherwood forest. Very clean facilities, well kept and organised. A nice park for kids to use and plenty of space for them to run aroundand play. Can bike or walk straight into the woods. Just under 10 minute drive to the major oak. Would definitely recommend.β
βI visited Locke Park for the parkrun. Itβs a pretty and well maintained park. There is a bandstand, cafe, a childrenβs playground, open green areas, and trees. The park is hilly and at the top is a historic tower. The tower is fenced off but opens to the public on certain dates. The highlight of the park, for me, was the fairy garden. Itβs a small area but there is so much to see. The artwork is detailed and really well done.β
βWe came for an event day, and there some stalls selling local produce by the cafe. There were free guided tours of the mill, and you got to make your own flat breads and gingerbread to try. Walks round the mill pond and reservoir are stunning with lots of ducks to feed.β
βKids enjoyed so much, nice and child friendly park.β
βBrilliant relaxing place, especially with the fresh waterβ
βAbsolutely lovely, it's that nice we have put a caravan on permanently, the pub is on site food good ,friendly peopleβ
βMy friend had an emergency appointment after being in so much pain with an infected tooth that they could barely function and hadn't slept in days, so I managed to get them an appointment through 111. In no time, the lovely dentist Fiona yanked that tooth out giving my friend much needed relief. Staff (including reception) were amazing, and my friend was given clear instructions on how to care for the wound. My friend managed to get sleep, finally. And the day after, there is still no pain. Thank you so much for the relief you provided to my friend.β
βWent to Bensons to look for a new bed and would have bought our usual firm mattress. However we had a sleep assessment which we had never had before and discovered that we actually need a medium. The sales lady was so helpful and showed us lots of options and gave us time to look around and make our decision. To be honest we have bought all our beds from Bensons over the years and have always been satisfied with the customer service.β
βWe had such a great day here! tons of exciting slides as well as a fun obstacle course. What really made it special was the paddle boarding! Right next to the water park where you can rent paddle boards. It was the perfect way to wind down after all the water park excitement. The water was calm, the scenery was peaceful, and it was such a fun activity for both beginners and more experienced paddlers. Only βdownsideβ is if you donβt have a car itβs a 40 minute walk from the nearest bus stop but if you enjoy walking it should be no problem! Itβs rare to find a place that combines both high-energy water park fun with something more relaxing like paddle boarding β we loved both and would definitely come back. Highly recommended for families, couples, or groups of friends looking for a full day of water activities!β
