“This pub was recommended by my parents as a good place for a meal and a real ale, on the day of the booking I admit to looking at the reviews and getting a bit worried, however I have got to say it did not disappoint, 5 (I think) Titanic beers plus 3 guest, the decor was traditional pub, with lovely Christmas lights, managed to find space in the car park too. The food was excellent, we had 5 different meals all really nice, steak, gammon, fish pie, fish and chips and a burger, real chips as well! Followes by 5 desserts, the crumble was a very good portion, and the stick toffee Christmas pudding was delicious. The lady who took our orders and delivered food was fantastic and provided great service all night. I would like to return in daylight so I can appreciate the countryside next time!”

The venue is what you get from an old pub but is a lovely space the outside has the most amazing view as well. The food buffet was good just could of done with a salad or fresh veg or fruit options but it hit the spot for my guests.
