“Went in to get a sandwich on my dinner break and I thought the place was decent. The sandwich maker consistently asked if my order was ok topping and sauce wise so no complaints there. It was a clean establishment however the area under the tables was not properly swept. For this reason I am giving the atmosphere 4 stars.”

“I have been a customer of Tanwong Kitchen Newbold for many years now. The food is good value for money, Suzie and her staff are always pleased to help, I always request my food choice without mono sodium glutamate, MSG, taste powder and as far as is possible because some dishes will have been part prepared in advance, I have not been compromised. “Ordered on uber eats, but had to come here and leave a 5 star review. Food came quickly to our doors, it was still hot (we live about 20mins away) Food quality was excellent! Tasted amaing, ordered few different things and nothing disappointed.”

“Called here on an off chance it was open, glad we did as the food was great and plenty of it. Had the chicken meat special (I think that's what it was called) which is advertised on the wall. It came with chips and salad too and sauce if you required it. The food was amazing, just a little too much of it for me but it will definitely fill you if this was your main meal of the day and waited for it. The staff was nice and friendly too and made you feel welcome.”

“Always accommodate my needs for vegan cheese. Have to order normal cheese on the app but always change it for me, no problems, when we ring up, which is brilliant customer service. The store got quite busy with calls but the staff worked hard to get my pizza done on time. Very friendly and happy staff member that served me despite being overwhelmingly busy. Pizza was tasty and generous with the toppings.”

“Amazing food delivered fresh , the delivery driver forgot our drink when he arrived but he was so apologetic and said he would come back , when he did he brought us a free mini tub of Ben and Jerrys ice cream as well as the bottle of drink , and I thought that was so sweet as a lot of delivery drivers don’t care! I wish I’d got his name to mention him to say thank you , you made our night”

“We were recommended to use this takeaway as we visited the area and we read the reviews and were a little concerned as there were some negative ones but we were glad we took the risk and ordered in, the person taking the order was thorough and read it back to us to confirm, we were told 1hr and it turned up bang on as expected the delivery driver was polite and cheerful and the food was excellent and we'll definitely use them again when we next visit.”

“Thank you for stepping in at the last minute to provide food at our 1st Christmas fair yesterday at Meersbrook. I could not have wished for anything better, with only 24 hours notice, they provided us with such amazing food, And this is a first they actually communicated with me, arrived on time, and basically just got on with what they do. I will be definitely using them again and if you have an outside event and like Greek food , book them, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks guys you were ace.”

“We decided to try this place for the first time tonight. We went to the shop ordered and collected, they was really nice people. Watched our pizza being hand made and cooked, their service was fast and food was lovely. The place was clean and tidy. We went for a 20inch half & half pizza with two large chips which came to £21, excellent value for feeding 4 adults. Will definitely be returning”

“Had a takeaway last night. Food arrived piping hot and was delicious. All 5 of us were happy with our choices of dishes. The Chicken tikka pieces on a naan bread is excellent value and packed with chicken. Will definitely order again.”

“This is my first time ordering here and noticed it had some very polarised reviews, so I thought I'd chime in. Some of these bad reviews are nonsensical and borderline abusive. Do they have a personal grudge? Anyway, thankfully my experience was all good, and a pleasant surprise in some ways. I used their own online ordering site and found it easy and reassuring to get a text and email straight away confirming the order. No extra fees like with JustEat or Uber Eats. I wish more Chinese takeaways would use this method. The prices were good too, they haven't hiked them up as much as most other Chinese takeaways around here, which have almost priced me out. I ordered beef chow mein (dry), salt & pepper shredded chicken, sweet & sour pork balls, and their 'normal' spring rolls. All the food was perfectly cooked, hot, big portions, and nicely flavoured. I particularly liked the light-handed seasoning as I find other Chinese takeaways put too much salt in, which just makes you feel ill after eating. This place got it just right. There was lots of tender beef in the chow mein. My only problem was the spring rolls were actually just one huge spring roll which had not been drained off for long enough before packing, so it was sitting in a pool of grease (the rest was still crispy). A shame as 20 seconds more would have made all the difference. Half a point off for that but I'll give them 5 anyway as the delivery came in 30 mins rather than the predicted 45, and the delivery driver was friendly and polite. Will order again!”
