“Well worth a visit, rooms are well appointed and the pub is welcoming. Good location in the town but they do have limited parking spaces. No big deal as there are loads of car parks in Chesterfield.”

“I like this Spoons, very modern kind of interior. Can't believe it's Wetherspoon. Good real ale, nice smart decor, tidy toilets. Best pub in Bolsover so far. Perfect location just next to Bolsover Castle.quick service by friendly staff. Very clean and tidy place and good seating area inside and outside.”

“Always nice here. Pub grub at a good price in a lovely setting. Beautiful lake right next to it. Always a good pint and a cracking meal. Service is always great too. Been going to the Smithy on and off for years and really cant fault it. Hits the spot every time! If you download the greene king app too you get occasional offers like a free pint or desert etc”

“Hadn't booked but had no trouble getting a table. Place was closing early due to new winter menu being launched. We had pizzas - freshly cooked to order. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food.”

“My husband and I are regular visitors to the Chesterfield Tesco Cafe and always find the staff extremely hard working, always with a smile and with a freindly greeting, even when obviously short staffed. I feel it would be helpful to them and the customers to have a table clearing rack for customers to be able to clear their used trays and pots away. Please thank the staff for their cheerful dedication.”

“Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and warm pub. We would definitely return when next in the area as we were made very welcome. Shame we were late and the kitchen had just closed as the food that was being served looked and smelt lovely.”

“Legitimately the best takeaway in Derbyshire. What other takeaway offers mexican, amazing tacos, burritos, quesadillas, PLUS the best pizzas going. And the delivery is always with us super quick, I don't know how they do it.”

“This Starbucks is a fantastic place that has really friendly staff that has a warmth to it (nice and comfy). This is a quiet places off the main road with no noise coming from the passing cars. Very rarely we have not found a place to sit. Great place to meet friends as well. Once you have placed your order you put your number plate in the car and you can stay there for an extended period of time (been there for over 3 hours and not received a ticket). If you don’t put your number plate in you have a maximum stay of 90 minutes. Pet friendly with dogs everywhere. Option to go through the drive through as well.”

“Went in for a family meal. Not sure what to expect with previous reviews but couldn’t fault the food. Turkey Sunday roast was huge and had a proper homemade Yorkshire pudding. All 5 of us had different things but the stand out was the steak and ale pie and homemade chips on the hunters chips. Beware huge portion sizes. If that’s ok then head out for food. Compliments to the chef”

“We had our wedding in The Sherwood Suite On Friday 28th November We had the most fantastic day. Our coordinator Charlotte made sure every detail was perfect. Before the wedding we sent several emails to Charlotte changing things asking questions and nothing was too much trouble for her. The day went so lovely and smooth from the ceremony to the final evening buffet. All the team was so friendly and professional. All of the food was delicious we had so many good comments from our guests.
