“Don't often leave reviews but I just wanted to say that we are very happy with the service provided by Paul and his team, it was a quick turn around from ordering to receiving it the shoe rack. Before I ordered I contacted Paul to confirm measurements because as you can see from the before and after pictures the space where we wanted the shoe rack to go on was fairly tight, Paul was very quick to respond. The shoe rack looks great, it is very sturdy and stylish! 2 months after I ordered it still looks like new. Will be ordering again for sure! thanks Paul”

“It's an amazing bar with music. The waiters have a humour that makes you fall in love. It also has a dance floor with crystals and led lights with a fashionable style. I highly recommend this place to have a drink with friends.”

“Lovely and warm when we arrived. The best flat white coffees we’d had all weekend. Strong and full of flavour, just the way it should be! Breakfast was served on hot plates and the food was piping hot. Fantastic quality of ingredients very impressed at the great value.”

“Think the staff were a bit amused by us wanting dinner at 12, but really enjoyed it. When it first arrived (roast dinners) there were mumbles from one of the table that it didn't look much and there was no veg, The veg was hidden under the meat and it's pot luck what you get as its mixed, my Mother in Law didn't get any carrots but I did and it was all delicious (one slice of beef was chewy, but I put that down to the meat, not the way it was cooked) and more than enough for me. The two roasties tasted more like mini jacket potatoes, they might be as they have the skin on, and the mash tastes like jacket potato mash, which I like. Teenagers had pizza and chicken burger, I've been told the chips were really nice, and the pizza eater wanted to go back the next day. The chicken dinner was a cajun? chicken breast, but again was told it was really nice. Will definitely go back at some point.”

Now for the food, x4 luxury breakfasts & x1 ultimate breakfast . . . . wow, they were all fantastic, the presentation was great, the food was fresh & very tasty. “I called in Friday (6th June) early afternoon, to check the place out as a relation lives nearby and was looking for a good place we could meet up. I had an an enjoyable experience, the staff on duty were welcoming and helpful. I had a pint and a half of Brock stout which was very tasty and well kept. I ordered the Fish Finger Sandwich (came with chips and mushy peas) which arrived after about 10 minutes. The food was tasty and fresh. The service was friendly. Henderson's Relish and Sarson's vinegar in plentiful supply, which is in my opinion, a definite bonus. Total cost of visit £17.70, reasonable these days. A relaxed and pleasant atmosphere prevailed making for a great visit and I will return again. Dogs are welcome and dog snacks were available, a fair size beer garden is at the rear, they don't open Sundays so check opening and food times before you turn up. Give it a go they don't accept cash payment, so cards, phone, you know the usual stuff, minted coinage or polymer banknotes are not taken, that said, if you have a spare bagful you want to get rid of, I will gladly help you out...”

“Dining at Karobar at the York was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for a wonderful afternoon. The menu truly celebrates the richness of Indian cuisine, offering a mix of traditional favourites and dishes with a modern twist. Every plate was full of flavour, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. The spices were balanced just right like aromatic, bold, and authentic without ever being overpowering. The light bites were bursting with taste, the curries were rich and comforting, and the roti came out niceeee. What really stood out was the dessert . I had the chocolate fondant one and it was the perfect sweet finish to a truly memorable meal. Paired with excellent service from staff who were attentive and welcoming, it was the kind of dining experience you don’t forget. Karobar seems more than just a kitchen it was like an experience. If you love authentic Indian cuisine done to the highest standard, this place is a must-visit!”
