“Used to drink in the masons 15 years ago, first time I’ve been in since then. Went with a few members of the family and we all said the same thing. Burgers are fantastic, chips are home cut and cooked and it has gone from one of the more expensive rounds on crookes to one of the cheapest, lovely burger washed down with a well priced lager. lovely. Burger had bubble and squeak and hendos gravy, chips had cheese and bacon.”

“Popped in last week having delivered a job in Sheffield. Small cafe typical of places that I have spent years eating in. Good . Normal English full breakfast with toast and a mug of Tea. Well pleased with my breakfast. Not so good. Staff were reluctant to take Scottish fiver (plastic) . Thought the Scottish accent/ Scottish firm uniform & van outside might have been a giveaway that some Jock money might be heading your way but not keen. Normally I would have politely left ( just a thing I do) but persevered and found enough coins to scrape the meal. Thing is 99 % happy with my visit but it so early could have been 100. Still gave 5 star review though - too soft I am lol”

“My car was making some v worrying clunking noises over the weekend; I knew something was badly wrong! My regular garage was booked up Monday (though they had kindly offered to look at it in their lunch break) so I tried MT and they fitted me in straight away. Drive shaft had snapped in half! (4wd so had managed to drive there on the rear wheels). They showed me the damage, ordered the part and fitted it all within a couple of hours. Brilliant service and so reassuring that I can now use my car again this week. I'd recommend these guys for efficiency, communication and service. Thank you!”

“My train was delayed for an hour yesterday! I'd heard about the pub from a friend but not been in, so thoight id give it a go not expecting much. I loved the amazing selection of non alcoholic beers. I had a delicious lager. The decor is fab, classic pub vibes and the fact you're literally on the platform means when your train finally does arrive you're very unlikely to miss it. I only had a drink so cannot vouch for food.”

Keep an eye out for happy hour and special offers on different days. If you're going in the evening or at the weekend, make sure you book a table in advance as it gets busy. There's usually live music at the weekend which is a lovely bonus. Highly recommend.”
