“£1.25 land is a great shop. It's a large shop plenty of range. Usually only 1 till open when I go but I go after work on a weekday. But even then the 1 till set up is fine barely a wait. Friendly staff as well.”
“Great people that run it always happy to help”
“Sells most things but can prove expensive..Some good deals. Always open so very handy.”
“This Sainsbury is off junction 7 of the M27. I stopped to get fuel, and called into the store to buy sushi. Had a Quick Look at the TU ladies clothes section. This is one of the biggest superstore Sainsbury I’ve seen. Well worth a visit. Great Habitat section & Argos too.”
“Best premier ever i love it me and my boyfriend come here every evening as theres a wide range of drinks and the owners are lovely:)”
“Excellent food shop, and sensible well made clothes. M&S set the standard when it comes to towels and bed linen. Feel guilty about buying from M&S because of their links to Israel and the genocide that's going in Gaza. Probably shouldn't shop there these days?”
“A centrally located super market in Shirley. Large, clean and a good range of essential products.”
“A very short visit indeed. Just for a can of drink. I found it clean, tidy, big car park and easy to get to. Theft prevention is in place so you will need to scan your receipt at the exit barrier inside.”
“I have just arrived in the area and I was greeted at the tills and staff on the floor with respect and empathy and kindness as I am disabled and in a mobility scooter nothing was too much trouble when I wanted something out of my reach and when going through the till the male member of staff was warm and kindly help pack my purchases what a lovely welcome into the area. What an encouragement to go to that store.”
“Cheap but always have to wait a while to pay”
“Lovely attentive staff, for this busy local shop.”
“Friendly staff. Never a problem queuing as processed very efficiently.”
“Excellent Store the staff are polite and you never wait long at the Till as soon as 2 people are waiting they call for assistance the place is clean and has a great selection of Food and Drink.”
“Always brilliant, fantastic staff, lots of food choices including local products prices are good especially if you use the Southern Coop card.”
“This is a lovely shop, well stocked, great range and always nice and tidy. All of the staff are friendly and helpful but special mention needs to go to Ryan, who is an absolute sweetheart to interact with. He is always genuinely pleased to see you, efficient and knowledgeable. A real asset to the Morrisons brand.”
“It’s not s huge store, but you can have what you want locally. The store seems to have enough parking spots as it’s not so busy. Parking has a weak point! When coming out, if you are going to Winchester Road North or Hill Lane South you have to go inside the roundabout harshly! Staff are helpful, polite, and caring.”
“Interesting change to the shopping dynamic with bags loaded as you shop rather than the awkward self scan or slow wait at the end. Quite impressed with how seamless it is and to help simplify and quicken the shopping process.”
“Butchers is amazing Helpful staff We bought the jerk pork sausages which were fantastic”
“The best lidl around. Several years ago used the Woolston Lidl for our weekly shop. Started using Whitely after it opened up and noticed a substantial improvement. Then when hedge end opened up switched again and noticed an improvement. Recently has been running out of eggs and milk but generally good stock, good changing facilities and loos and well staffed.”
“Always happy staff ,great service with a smile”
“I am a wheelchair user and it is very hard for me to do my groceries shopping on my own because I cant reach things. But I have been in and asked for help and they were so happy to offer it and so kind while helping me get my shopping. Although I do the bulk of my shopping online they made me feel that it was ok for me to come in store too.”
“Almost identical in layout to other stores in the chain so easy to navigate around the aisles. Centre aisles at the rear cater for budget household and DIY items. Frozen and chilled goods are also located at the back of the store. Keep an eye on sizes, as the prices may be lower than expected because the volume is less. Good selection of continental foods on offer. Plenty of free parking outside with a large number of coin access trolleys.”
“Did a little shopping there yesterday staff very helpful and store nice and clean ( no stock on the floor) and a few Christmas bargains, pity had to ask for someone to attend a check out as is getting the annoying way now in shops for us older shoppers can not beat a friendly face and pass time of day at a manned check out we pay for it in with the shopping after all john and June xx”
“Great produce, friendly staff, decent security guards to have a chat with. Great loyalty cards.”
“A big supermarket where one can find everything. This is my usual go to place before I cook any special dish as I will be sure that I can find those spices/pasta/paste here. Huge collection of veggies and meat. Goods are cheaper here than the nearby smaller supermarkets. Checkout usually is not that bad since there are multiple self checkout counters and it moves fast. They have a wide section of frozen foods too. Also has a DIY section and some useful home accessories can be found here as you typically do in bigger supermarkets.”
“Quiet and clean place to do shopping. We stopped over during a family vacation and we did out shopping happily.”
“Tesco is a reliable go-to for most weekly shops. The store is usually clean and well-stocked, with a decent range of fresh produce, own-brand items, and international foods. Prices are competitive, especially with a Clubcard, and the meal deals are handy for lunch on the go. That said, the queues at peak times can be frustrating, and self-checkouts often glitch or need staff intervention. Online delivery is convenient but slots fill up fast, and substitutions aren’t always ideal. Staff are generally friendly, though some seem rushed. Overall, it does the job without much fuss – solid, but nothing exceptional.”
“A great-value, full-service supermarket in Winchester: consistently clean, well‑staffed, and packed with conveniences. Ideal for family shopping, quick pharmacy runs, or grabbing a coffee and essentials under one roof. Highly recommend!”
“Just amazing supermarket Near to my home so every weeks I’ll go there are purchase a lot of grocery's”
